Vampire Knight Roleplay

Roleplaying Site for Matsuri Hino's Vampire Knight

We are now looking for Assistant Admins to help us with the ever daunting task of ensuring that the game is fun and enjoyable for all. There are several types things we need help with:

- Thread Patrolling - to ensure that any conflicting situations are solved as smoothly as possible, and to ensure all RP stays in the within the reasonable limits of RP.

Event Organization - To give suggestions\organize RP events for some or all of the Academy Students.

There are other tasks as well that need to be done, and if you have suggestions on how you can help, let us know.

Assistant Admins will be put on trial for a month's period, and, if they do a good job, they'll be promoted to full status.

Thank you for any help you care to give.

I like the Event Organization part. It seems like it. I can give it a try.

Well, any help would be appreciated, between Tsukiko having to do so much to run the site right now, and my suddenly demanding new work schedule, its becoming a very difficult process. While I appreciate how enthusiastic many of you are towards wanting to help with Event Organization, im going to have to ask that you keep in mind its a very demanding position. Part of being an admin is realizing that you will likely RP less than you actually spend time just doing admin duties.

- Thread Patrolling - The above description of this is very accurate, however it means that you will be reading a great deal of topics that have nothing to do with you, for the purpose of checking to ensure that the rules are being followed correctly, so its alot of pretty hard/boring work at times when you have been doing it for an hour or so.

Event Organization - Aside from the new overarching plot in development that will kick off soon, and effect the Day and Night class as a whole, you can see an example of this in the New Babylon thread, which is basically a primarily nightclass event, with limited day class activity upon a sucessful invite.

I see that some of you are pretty enthusiastic about working with the Event Organization, however we don't want you to think that you will be picking one. The Jr. Admins will be required to do both roles described here, as well as others, such as new profile checking for compliance, as well as constant checking and rechecking of existing profiles to ensure that nobody is editing important details without permision, or that something has been added that won't fit the canon.

Its going to be a very demanding position, so if you don't think you would enjoy or can't do everything outlined here on a regular basis, then im afraid you really shouldn't volunteer. I don't mean to sound negative or try to scare you off, this is just the truth, admin duties are always extremely difficult.

I really hope I didn't give the impression that I was directing that at you Airi, because in truth I meant it for every one of the applicants. I may have made a specific mention of your asking about the Event Organization, but it was not my intention to make it seem as though I were suddenly ranting at you.

I guess being an admin is really hard work but I still want to continue. The problem with me is that I can't be on late at night or from 6:OO a.m to 3:OO P.M because of the fact I have school. I can be busy at times and I won't be on until 4:OO p.m here and if I'm lucky enough, around 3:3O. Is that going to be a problem? Although, since I liked the even organization part, I can plan or thing about things when I have free time at school or anywhere else. Any suggestions?

Not at all. I don't have much time right now to explain, but you can be a Junior Admin more or less at the same time as you are a player.

Instead of just reading your own threads, you'll all be asked to read other people's threads and inform the Head Admins of things that either go against the rules (godmodding, making powers up, etc), that conflict with the setting (like demons suddenly appearing in the cafeteria) or that just aren't right. We will be doing the same as well, but at times we just don't have time to check every single thread.

Furthermore, we'll try to get a few Junior Admins so we can divide work for as many people possible.

More details to come soon!

Ooh, since I'm already an Assistant Admin, does that mean I also get to be a full status admin?

Reply to This

Afraid not. After discussing this matter with the other admins, the agreement we came to was that you had yet to show more work to graduate as full status admin.

Tsukiko asked me to be one but I'm not on here often enough I think. But still willing to help. In fact, seeing as spring is here and we just passed Easter, perhaps we should have a Spring Ball or something? Something less violent, more true to vampire knight, and more open to everyone than that Babylon thing.

I read this thread when it first came out, but I avoided responding to it because of how "new" I am. But after thinking about it, and reading what others have posted, I think that I'm willing to try it out.

I know that I am probably not the best choice for an admin because I have no experience with it, but I know that if I choose to do something, I am dedicated to doing it. I have leadership experience from school clubs that I have been in and I think that I have adequate writing skills.

I am willing to put the time and effort in to help this sight, though it may be at odd hours of the day. (This is mainly because of work and school).

So if I can help in any way. . . Just let me know!

Oh! If you don't mind, I have a few questions. . .

- When you say "Thread Patrolling," is it patrolling a particular thread that we can split between all admins? Like saying that "This person is responsible for "Moon Campus RP" while this other person is responsible for "Cross Academy Grounds." Is that how it works?

- What is the definition of "Reasonable RP?" I understand the "Dragon" in the cafeteria is out, but where does the line lie? I don't understand what would be considered "Okay" and what is crossing the line. Are there any examples that you could show me so that I can see what is not acceptable? (I'm asking for examples that are not as outrageous as the dragon one)

- Do you have to be an "Administrative" person to help organize events? Can other people give suggestions? (I don't have any at the moment. . . It was just another question I've been meaning to ask one of you).

Sorry if this is an inconvenience to any of you, I just wanted to get these answered so that if you guys want me to become an Assistant Admin, then I will be someone that is "worth" the title. Like I said, I don't have any experience in this area, and I'm very new to this sight. . . I don't want to be a disappointment.

You're free to start patrolling now (some people already do so to help out.) Anyone, actually, is free to do patrolling for themselves and, if they find situations that Admins need to intervene in, drop us a line and ask us to intervene.

However, we're giving a bit of time to see how many people are interested before we start distributing tasks. In the meantime, whoever applies to this thread will get a little note from us.
