The Midsummer Night's Masquerade Ball

This will be the third official event for the Cross Academy RP (after a request of our members), a grand masqeruade style ball for both the Day and Night Class, to celebrate the closing of the school year.

In order to make it a little more atmospheric the festivities are going to be held outside, in the open gardens on a specially cosntructed pavillion and stage. Their will of course be dancing, as what ball would be complete without dancing? Also included will be a live band, classical of course, as well as a full buffet for the human members and a sitting area for comfort.

Both Day and Night Class will be in attendance, and should students wish to invite each other for their official date, they are encouraged to do so.

When dealing with the concerns of actually getting a dress/shoes/tux, feel free to go while and create an RP. Just note in the topic title a tag... For example "Shopping for a Dress ((1 week before the Spring Masquerade)), to make sure that we have a clean flow for the event.

Now, some ground rules for this event:

1 - OOC questions should be posted in this thread, NOT the Rp thread.
2 - Avoid image posting - please. There is a dozen RP threads that are no more than people showing off their goggle skills, posting images followed by one-liners. If you want to let other people know what your dress looks like, DESCRIBE IT.
3 - No one-liners - I mean it. If you don't feel like participating, then don't. You're not forced to, we'll not be handing out talking puppies or golden cookies. Don't feel you need to just come in and drop a post of one short sentence -- I'm hoping to see at least one or two paragraphs: describe yourself, your emotions, your thoughts, react to the world around you -- one paragraph is not much and it will help you improve your writing skills.

Other than that, have fun!

One last note: even if OOC this event lasts for weeks, take into consideration that In Character, the ball will last 4-5 hours, no more)
