Insomnia Means Breaking all the Rules.

Since transferring to Cross Academy only three days prior, Nao found herself unable to sleep amidst the eerie air that floated around the dorms. The pureblood scent kept her on her toes; She slept with both eyes open. Never before had Nao experienced the sensation of being around so many of her kind, especially those whose presence she had not become accustomed to. This uneasy feeling is what kept her stationed in the common room throughout the day; Her body was becoming exhausted, which only meant that her thirst for blood would soon surpass her ability to control it. She sipped lightly at a glass artificial blood. It ebbed the need, for now.

Light from the afternoon sun pierced blindingly through the cracks between the common room's curtains. The Day Class was out and about, most likely drifting from room to room and seeing to their human duties. Nao bit bad her cynical urge to laugh. I wish my life were that easy.

And so there she sat, alone, in a plush red couch of the dorm's common room, hoping that anyone might wake up and talk to her. As the lonely minutes passed, however, she realized this to be improbable. While the others slept, she was wasting away on this sofa.

Thats when the idea struck.

Indifferent to her position as a Vampire and desperate for anything to pass the time, Nao's mind wandered to the Day Class.
What a commotion I'd cause She thought, if I wandered around the grounds today.

She knew that leaving the dorms midday was against school regulation and that causing a ruckus among the Day Class was hardly low key, but the pure bloods were asleep and the chairman was away. Who would stop her? After all, whats left to do with insomnia but break a few rules?

The lack of sleep was making Nao crazy. Not only is breaking rules out of her character, but to do it in search of person to person contact was far beyond anything she's ever done.

I'll need an acomplice. She concluded. I'll just wait for someone to come downstairs... and hopefully no one will.

[Fujisaki Kumiko]

Her small hands rubbed her violet eyes gently as she stepped out of her dorm room and into the halls. She walked down towards the main corridors and walked slowly down the stairs. A yawn escaped her lips as she stretched out her arms, making little creases in her night gown. It was a pale blue silk dress, many different laces and swirling designs graced the blue silk as it cascades down to just below Kumiko's knees. Her bare feet reached the marble floor of the common room in the Moon Dorms, and small echoes of footsteps against stone were heard. She plopped down onto the soft sofa of the Moon Dorms, too tired to stand up, and not tired enough to fall back asleep. A male-like figure caught her eye as she stared at it.

As if on cue, Nao was startled by the sounds of cascading footsteps as they came down the stairs. To her suprise, a petite looking young woman in a beautiful pale blue nightgown was descending to the common room. Nao smiled, but the girl didn't seem to notice as she continued on in a zombie like state.

Nao watched curiously as the girl plotted down onto the sofa opposite her without saying a word. Nao raised an eyebrow, wondering whether or not the girl was going to speak. She didn't, however, only staring at Nao through half lidded eyes.

"Are you sleep walking, doll?" Nao asked, in a slightly mocking yet casually enchanting tone

Her eyes perked open when she heard the person before her mock her slightly. "No, I just can't seem to fall asleep. It's the middle of the day too, when I'm usually sleeping peacefully. My name is Fujisaki Kumiko by the way.You can call me Kumi if that's easier to remember..." Her voice trailed off, her eyes never wavering from the face of the person.

OOC: I'll be going to bed soon, as I must wake up at the butt crack of dawn to work so this will be my last reply for the night. Thanks for joining :P

BIC: Nao was slightly unnerved at the way this girl was analyzing her face, but dismissed it as a trait of half-asleepness.

"Kumiko is a beautiful name." Nao spoke in a charming masculine tone. "My name is Akane Nao, in the male sense not short for Naomi. Thats my sisters name... But thats irrelevant. You may call me what you wish, though. I'm terribly sorry you can't seem to sleep. I've had trouble sleeping since I transfered here so I tend to just sit here. Its very boring, really. I was thinking about taking a walk outside." She added slyly, to peak the interest of her new acquaintance.

BIC:

"Thank you..." She whispered, a little bit flustered with the charming tone in the males' voice. "That's a shame. Sleeping troubles are the last thing you need, especially when other people are asleep and you're awake, all bored. Nao is a lovely name. My name, Kumiko, means eternally beautiful child, though I don't think it really fits." She whispered, fumbling with her fingers. "And where would you go outside? It's midday, and you would get in trouble for walking about in broad daylight..." She trailed off and thought to herself. "I'll go with you." She finally decided.

Nao smiled at the shyness of Kumiko and enjoyed that she needed not press the topic further as the girl was able to make up her mind quickly.

"Not at all," Nao stated, smiling. "I think your name fits quite nicely. As for going outside... I'm not sure what to do once I get there. Being around the day class students would cause quite a rukus, don't you think?"

Nao's smile flustered Kumiko slightly on the inside, though she didn't know why. The delicate feminine features were evidence he was female, but she didn't want to press on. "Yes, it would cause quite a rukus. Would you like to sneak into town, or go to the on-campus cafe during classes?" She asked quietly, returning Nao's smile with a soft, sweet smile of her own.
