Over the intercom, Rido drawled the announcements, Beethoven’s sixth symphony playing in the background:

“Congratulations… You 18 are the only ones participating in this game. The other half of your class got involved in an… accident. Included in your bags are your weapons, a compass, LED shake-charge flashlight, 500 mL bottle of spring water, a roll of bread, and the official game map PLUS your map booklet: http://www.tokyomap.com/

“Currently, there are already danger zones set up in advance. Please note, they are:”
(((Check this picture frequently for updated danger zones)))

“More however, will be set up on a whim… and once they are announced you have an hour to vacate the ward.”

“Other than that, the game begins now, 600 on the 22nd of December, 2009. More announcements including updated deaths provided every six hours. Enjoy the game.”

Some crackle on the intercom, and then, “Oh yes, where you are starting out… the Imperial Palace here in Chiyoda? We have taken the liberty of installing some land mines in the grounds.”
The intercom shuts up with further crackling.

Hiro appeared calm as he left the building but inside was a range of analysing emotions, fear, hate and anger coursed his veins but also compassion, understanding and affection for many of the other students in this cruel game, he had never killed in his life and believed there was better options then violence but just how far could he be pushed before his morales and priorities changed?
Hiro was quick in analysing everything about him, he memorised the map at a glance, he would make for Yoyogi park in the Shibuya district. under cover of the destroyed park he would be able to hide out for long enough to set traps and gain an advantage, there was no way Hiro could win a fight since he was only trained in basic hand to hand and did not have his bow with him this time so he could only stay alive by trickery and deceit.
Caution was advised for something like this, Hiro doubted he was the only one who would consider trickery and even the very establisment that had put them here in the first place was not to be trusted.
Inside the bag under further inspection Hiro found 14 grenades, perfect for ambush laying.........
Hiro also found a syringe full of adrenaline, intresting this could be useful.
Hiro hurried onwards out of the imperial palace grounds, constanly alert for other students though if any were near their presences didn't reveal themselves to him, suddenly a click beneath his foot made Hiro look down, a gasp of horror nearly escaped his cold lips, under his shoe was a landmine, it would activate when he raised his foot again, this was difficult, he would have to dive away at exactly the right moment to avoid being blown apart.
Slowly bracing himself, beads of sweat trickling down his back, Hiro dived to the side as the large explosion shook the trees, the blast radius licked at his legs and the force propelled him slightly further then he expected but Hiro made safely, only realising once he had reached the ground that a jagged cut ran from his knee right down to his shin, oozing blood from a piece of shrapnel, it wasn't too bad if he treated it as soon as possible, but until then he would have to persevere, great the game had only started and Hiro had already given hinself a bad injury, Hiro limped on thankful that the grenades hadn't exploded in hist bag, everyone in the immediate area would have heard that, so much for stealth.
Hiro hurried with slightly more caution to the park.

Blood blood blood blood

Perhaps... that wasn't the smartest decision to make. In these wee hours of morning, the winter sun had yet to rise... and we know what lurks in the darkness are none other than the heavy stench of death and putrid fear...

Level E's are easy to deal with... when you had your powers. Six ambush you: What do you do now?

Reply to This

Thankfully, a tree fell, and the six scattered as the sun rose.

You have been lucky: You spend the rest of the day in the shade of the park away from hindrance.

(((We're going to move on to phase 12pm once the other replies get finished up, so hold off until then)))

The mouse inside of your bag squeaked... rhythmically? For all you know it may be Vivaldi or the Morse Code.

It seems to show signs of intelligence: It may be more than just a source of food.

Perhaps it may even help you locate a better hiding place. Wanna let it out of the jar?

To her disappointment, the rat came up with no finds, circling once around the station before squeaking in a rather depressed manner, its whiskers drooped and a look of sadness peering out, almost apologetically.

Gir placed his head on his paws, and sat there looking up while waiting for the morning sun to rise higher still.

Minara is not the sharpest nail in the toolbox, so at the gates she shouted out, "HEY GUYS LOOK AT THIS LUNKY THING!"

She raised a GPR radar-based minesweeper and waved it around. "What do I do with this thing? Hardeeharrharr."

She pranced down the steps and immediately the red light emitting diode on the device flashed with a loud beeping. She jumped back quickly three seconds before the lower steps exploded, and she did not sustain any injury but was shocked...

"S-s-so that's what this is..." She makes her way out through the front lawn, the zen gardens murkied and craters popped in places that used to be beautiful flowerbeds.

Do you follow her? Or wrest the weapon from her?

It wasn't until a while later that she realizes that she has sustained some injury. It's a mystery that she hadn't noticed until now, but her reckless dashing had set off plenty of landmines, sharp shards of metal scratching her legs.

Thankfully, she moved quickly enough to avoid the brunt... but that does not change the fact that her legs bled. Blood draws attention, especially in these wee hours before sun-up.

Here on the streets... the upturned trash can beside her moved, and several claws reached out from the crack in the sidewalk...

((( Hey, remember the 24 hour reply deal? -_- Please pay attention to that: It means the difference between your character living or dying. Since you didn't reply in time, I'll have to continue on with the consequences DDD: This time, however, the coin flipped in your favor: You might not be so lucky )))

A loud bang rang out, and the claws suddenly retracted back where they came from. Luckily, your encounter with the E's have been delayed.

Scream as she might, though, nobody heard her. Her efforts were futile, and she only wasted her energy on the faked outburst. To make matters worse, the sun continued rising.

As soon as Hideki left what looked like an Imperial Palace where they were kept the first thing he did he quickened his pace as he made his way around the palace where he was appear invisible to anyone else who left and where he would be able to keep a watch for any possible first targets. He dropped slowly down to one knee and threw his bag down in front of him, with a pull of a zipper and a flip of the cover his equipment was visible to him. The first thing he pulled out was a compass as along with a map booklet of the city of Tokyo; it wasn’t long until the familiar irritating voice of Kuran Rido came crackling on a nearby intercom which seemed to have be placed throughout the entire city along with cameras possibly. Hideki listened carefully for the information given was of their situation, current position, as well as the number of people participating; as the danger zones were being read off, Hideki made sure to note them on his map. The intercom cuts off with a crackle after giving them a final warning of their current location having booby traps, Hideki looked to the grounds surprised he, himself was lucky enough not to have encountered one in his hurry to obtain his current spot. “Okay…” He muttered to himself resting the compass flat on his palm while looking at his map; he had his destination in mind, he just didn’t know what direction it would be from his current position; he turned is body facing what would be north, according to the compass.

“Now, Akihabara…”

He continued to mutter to himself checking his map. “Ah - North, Northwest from the Imperial Palace…about a mile, maybe less.” He gave a slight nod then slowly dropping before his bag on one knee once again placing both the map and the compass back into it and withdrawing the LED shake-charge flashlight which he observed for a moment then threw it back into the bag before pulling out a bottle of spring water as well as what looked like one of his weapons; a stupid water gun. He threw the bottle back into the bag and examined the water gun a bit further, he shook it a bit.

“Oh, something is in it.” It was most likely water, he assumed, but just to be sure…he aimed at the ground and pressed down on the trigger slightly, just enough for it to sprinkle a bit on the ground. It was a clear substance, much like water, making him think his assumption was correct…but the moment it started to fizz, that blew his assumption out of the water. “Sweet…” His lips mouthed out the words but nothing really came out; he held onto the water gun, however and stuffed his hand back into the bag pulling out what would act as his melee weapon for now, a hammer, which he stuffed into his pocket, the head sticking out and quite visible for all to see. Now, he just needed to get past this minefield.

“Looks like I’m all s-“ He was cut off by someone yelling from the steps, he peered over from his current position to see a female waving around what looked like a minesweeper; a grin ran along his face at the sight of this; she seemed pretty retarded too. Hideki pulled out his water bottle, popping the lid off and pouring every ounce of water out of it, he then twisted off the tube for his water gun and poured out half of the acid into the water bottle. “Psst –“ He called out to her, waving his arm in the air, he had on a warm and friendly smile which he used to mask his dark intentions. “Come over here,” He jerked his head at her.

Minara:

"Okay." She bounds over stupidly, making a beeline for him. The minesweeper in her hand remained quiet. "Are we going to work as a team?" She kept on blabbing jovially. "Here, I even have a silver spork that might come in handy!"

Just like fishing, she approached him speaking of working as a team and blabbing about her poor choice of a weapon; which Hideki had no interest in whatsoever, but he wasn’t going to let her know, if he was going to fool someone as stupid as her he would have to pretend to bring himself down at her level and from there execute his plan. “Uh, of course we’re going to work together, I think if we team up we can make if out of this alive – the both of us.” His voice had a sense of cheerfulness, enough to make himself gag a little by his actions and words but he was determined to continue; “And may, that is a awesome spork you have there… I just got this here water gun which I just filled up with the water we got,” He held the half-full water bottle to her – he really didn’t have to kill her, he could’ve just decided to work with her to get past the mines then she provide food (blood) for him throughout the entire game – but she was just so dense, her blood probably had some kind of funny taste to it and would cause him to get sick or something – so she just had to go.

He held the water bottle up to her face, the smile stretching further along his face. “Her, since we’re working together, we might as well share our water supply – we can use up mine and still have yours for later usage. Let’s have a drink – to our new partnership!” His voice chimed as he shook the bottle in her face; “Drink, drink.” He urged, waiting for the right moment as he was preparing the reach for his hammer once she took the bottle from him.
