The World: When Earth's population drastically increased, humanity led by the United Nations attempted to colonize Mars. During the colonization, they discovered two alien technologies: the Bacillus and the Crusnik nanomachines. The colonists installed the Bacillus in their bodies which transformed them into vampires

Continuing wars on Earth eventually led to "Armageddon", and the colonists returned to Earth to help with rebuilding, but when the colonists returned to Earth, a war broke out between the Methuselahs and the humans who had remained on earth.

At the start of the story, the vampiric Methuselahs, still a major political and military force, continue to wage war on the "Terrans", as they call regular humans. The Roman Catholic Church is a major military power determined to protect humans from the Methuselahs, with its seat of power based in the Vatican. The Methuselahs have their capital of Byzantium, which is surrounded by a field of particles to filter out UV radiation, protecting the Methuselah population.

Both groups use "lost technologies", such as airships, missiles, and computers, to engage in a cold war with one another. A third great power, Albion also plays a role in the war with its superior arsenal of lost technology and weapons and higher level of manufacturing ability versus the Vatican.

We're making a mix of both TB and VK, so the vampiric nature\levels of the latter still exist, as does the powers and differentiation of vampires.

Current Characters (More will be added if more people join):
Valizh Rosecross, aka Nightmare. A high ranking Methuselah member of the Rozenkreutz Order, he deserves his nickname, for the mention of his name alone is enough to send fear into the staunchest heart. Merciless, cruel, and deadly effective, he carries out the missions his superiors hand to him without hesitation -- especially if he has the chance of striking at the hated Vatican. His powers are many, and his reach almost all-encompassing.

Tsukiko Ashley-Croft - The Vatican keeps a group of trained warriors they call "Special Circumstances". Also known as Tetagrammaton Clerics, they are an order of clerics in charge of keeping the records and the secrets of the Vatican and protect them with their own lives. Seldomly do they leave the confines of their monastery, where they train and read. However, when there is a "Special Circumstance" they can be called -- their skill and ferocity is unmatched. Tsukiko is one of their finest warriors, a First Class. But she is more than that, even if she doesn't know it. She's Patient Zero. When she was just a child, she was attacked by a level A -- she survived miraculously, and was administrated a test drug that the Vatican was developing at the time. And it halted her transformation into a vampire -- the Vatican now hopes they can reproduce the results -- and more, make it so as they can revert vampirism and even eventually use it as a weapon against vampires.

Kyle Eckes - Codenamed "Ghost", he is an oddly desensitized sniper with a rather odd outlook on life. While his companions favored the almost hand to hand form of combat of the Tetagrammaton Clerics, he had developed his own adaptation to the style capable of being used with his rifle at close range if need been, by focusing in on predicting movements to pinpoint his targets exact point of entry. His nickname was derived form his tactful skills at killing targets before they even knew they were under attack.

Seiryu Akatsuki - he is the strongest Methuselah the Vatican has ever faced, and yet he appears to be as gentle as a lamb. The circumstances that led him to their door are complicated, and even though he is tolerated, they will never be so complacent as to let down their guard around him, however benevolent he may seem. Among the Methuselahs he was once the equivalent of Royalty, now he is content to the be the benefactor of a young girl poisoned by the bite of one of his own kind. The highest levels of the Vatican despise him, seeing him as the wolf in sheep's clothing, though they dare not dispute what fortune has led him to lay down his weapons and swear the highest oath to a young Tetagrammaton Cleric known as Jezebel. He is old enough to have seen centuries pass, and was known among the Methuselah as a warrior of the highest order, and was widely known as the "Swordsage" for his skill with a blade. These days he helps to maintain the records in the Cleric's monastery and living a relatively spartan lifestyle, his devastating powers kept in check by a long forgotten mystic artifact called the Eye of Amatersau, kept in his chest. His little human whom he plays benefactor too has been given control of the seal, and regulates his power as needed. All in all it may be boring, however as a matter of honor, he will not abandon his oath.

Valizh continued walking through the dark narrow passage however even when the it was pitch-black inside he could look without problem, that was the advantage of being a vampire. His PDA biped and he took it out of his gabardine to see what was happening, his plane had been destroyed. The systems in it severely damaged. Ohh well who cared. Everything had gone as planned, they knew they had intruders and they would get to protect the portfolio they carefully protect. Excellent more people to kill. He then put his hands again in the pockets of his coat and continued walking, soon he found an exit that led to the crew quarters. A couple more blocks and he would be in their near the package.

As Valizh reached for the door, preparing to enter the crew quarters 190 lbs of pissed off ancient vampire slammed into the door from the opposite side, ripping it right off the hinges with explosive force when the supercharge of focused kinetic energy released on impact. The door blew off the hinges like a cannon ball, catapulting right into the unaware Valizh to hurl and slam him against the opposite wall with bone crushing force. The twin swords appeared in his hands with a liquid grace that seemed so fast it was unreal. And he cocks his head slightly, popping his neck.

He loops the blade in a small over under circle, the light glimmering on the blade. "It looks like the crazy one has proven his genius with the rifle yet again, also unfortunately for you I prefered to make a slightly more dramatic entrance." He says evenly, having been alerted to trouble by the gun shot. Since the easiest entry point would be through the cargo bay, he had began heading that way immediently. Unfortunately for Valizh, the beep of the PDA had given him away, and without even breaking stride Seiryu had attacked through the door between them.

The metal door caught Nightmare by surprise and he was hit by the door almost immediately, grabbing on the edges of the flying door he forced it into a 180 degree spin and leaped from it with a powerful jump of his legs, immediately taking his gun-blades and opening fire at the momentary obstacle in his way. A whole clip of his gun-blades unloaded in the now open door. The sound of metallic bullets hitting the metal was a beautiful symphony.

Kyle's attention was immediately shifted to the sound of the door beings knocked off it hinges. he quickly leaped from the top deck with his rifle in hand falling to the lower catwalk leading to the crew quarters just as bullets began flying his way. falling to his left shoulder he hit the catwalk hard but the shots fired arced over his body as they ricocheted off the metal frame of the ship. now laying on his back with the majority of his weight on his left shoulder blade, Kyle flicked the legs into locked position setting it on the ground. laying the gun over his chest he used his right hand to slap the swiveling scope towards his face. all he could see was the back of Seiryu drawing his swords. quickly Kyle fired at Seiryu's bicep as his arm was raising.

Kyles mind didnt need to calculate the odds. the arc thrust by the right side opening door would send it nearly straight but give it a slight leftward angle on the projectile door. the attacker would no doubt instinctively try to move the inside of the attack on the right side of the door since it would be the only logical way to evade it.by the angle of Seiryu's head he could tell his estimation to be correct. as he was looking nearly straight forward but still slight to the right. Kyle aimed at that right arm bicep as it reached to draw the blades. knowing Seiryu was leading more towards using his right hand in combat, Kyle estimated his would step off with his left foot in attack. that action would shift this weight to the left slightly giving the perfect opening between his ribs and bicep.

the shot whipped just an inch form Seiryu's inner arm and at that angle the target would be struck dead center of the chest. however Kyle was not one to become so bold as to think he was always correct. as soon as he squeezed the first shot his barrel followed Seiryus withdraw and fired two more shots that in theory would strike to the left side of the intruders chest just above the nipple if his calculations were correct. if not and the intruder was continuing on his moments in evasion of the door this shot would hit dead center of the chest. a third shot aimed at the stationary spleen just below the ribcage on the left side. if the target was still in motion it would strike the diaphragm and if the target was ducking or rolling it would strike dead center of the chest. all of this based on predictable patterns a person would take to evade the attack of the door by Seiryu.

After using some epithets on Kyle that the Mother Superior would most certainly disapprove, Tsukiko put her guns away, and wandered off. She still had the feeling that something was not right and decided to go back to assist Seiryu. The old vampire would certainly be annoyed that she was implying he couldn't take care of the package himself, but she'd endure his bad humour at a later date.

Besides, for some reason, he tolerated her. So she might not have to endure him getting prissy at her.

Then, she heard it.

Something like a herd of elephants crashing through the wall.

She didn't even hesitate, and broke into a jog, to find Seiryu missing from his guarding post, and a lot of noise coming from nearby. Pulling one of her guns out, she went back to the hall she had come from, and chose the corridor that would let her come from the side at whatever Seiryu was attacking. She could hear him talk and kicking the door open, she trained her gun on the white haired man, as she drew her other one. "Stand down your weapons and surrender. We don't want to hurt you, but we will if we have to."

For the second time, she had felt nothing but shame. Utter shame.
First, Kyle caught her unaware.
Secondly, she was being taken hostage. She had tried to react, but the quick pressure on her neck made her realize how unwise it was to pursue that course of thought.

He was a level A, and could pull her head off without even an second thought.

At least... he had been thwarted.

He wouldn't get the report.

That was comforting, even if her own life was forfeit.

Valizh would not get inside that way, he was sure of that. New bullets went flying in his direction and he barely managed to parry them. Sniper, huh? He thought he hated them now wonder they were always the more mistreated and the ones that suffered more in the enemies hands. Only his first opponent could be seen the other one would be further back, hiding like they always do. Cowards. Ohh well. He stood there after he waited either the one with the swords to make a move or for more bullets of the sniper to come his way. He had been used to parrying bullets, his synpsis' response was such that his own reflexes would allow him to react to a bullet in the same manner as a punch thrown at him. However sniper bullets were always another thing, he didn't know where the sniper was or how many bullets were airborne. Even if he didn't want to admit it, he had been close to be injured.

Suddenly an opportunity came by. "Stand down your weapons and surrender. We don't want to hurt you, but we will if we have to." He heard a woman say behind her. With only a grin in his face he made a sudden backflip landing behind the girl and grabbing her tightly. His gun-blade aimed at the head of the unfortunate girl. "No, no, no." He chimed. "You don't want to come any closer or this girl will die and that goes for you too sniper. A bullet and I'll make sure her head is in the way of it." He said smiling with amusement. If they knew him they would not doubt in doing as he said. He was known to have incredible reflexes and he was perfectly capable of killing a girl by using his comrade's bullet.

"Now if you'll excuse us." He said while with the other gunblade shot the big window to his right. It had not been the first time his ship had been damaged and he didn't blame them for not knowing he had a plan B for escaping. Another ship appeared to his right side. Yes another ship always flown behind them never removing his stealth mode, until it was needed he threw the girl inside and quickly follow not leaving enough time for the sniper to fire again. The ship closed it's door and the AI greeted. "Lilith online. Welcome nightmare" He grabbed the controls and the engines started roaring before spitting fire as the ship accelerated far from the ship.

He had succeed once again and the two foolish guards who tried to defeat him were about to blow into pieces. Only a couple of minutes were left for the cruise ship to be blown into oblivion.

Seiryu only sighed and sent the sword through a graceful loop. Hyper alert senses were telling him that things were getting more and more out of hand, and then his gray eyes turned back to regard his vampiric opponent as he opened fire. His swords spun easily, reflecting the shots easily and he cocked his head. It was going to be one of those days it seemed. So they could both deflect bullets, so it would seem they would be stuck playing bullet tennis unless something happened to alter the situation.

Of course it would be Tsukiko... She was an effective agent, a powerful fighter for a human, and had the worst luck it would seem. He saw the grin, and the flicker of movement in his opponent's muscles as the legs coiled to spring. Oh come now, that was really too easy...

As Valizh lept backwards Seiryu moved, even as the sword in his right hand dropped to the ground, surging forward as he harnessed his own kinetic field to close the distance between them faster than the neural process. He had already stopped and was turning, gathering his most potent ability in his hand as he focused raw energy to gather, a shimmering blade of psionic energy held together and formed by the force of his own will, this was the Ryuken, the most famous of the melee based vampire abilities.

Gravity was such a problem, sure he could move faster than the little human could react, but it was all too easy for Seiryu to move forward faster than the leaping arc could bring him back to his feet. He moved forward, relying on his own kinetic abilities to carry him faster and further on that single step, appearing in position three steps behind Tsukiko and turning every so slightly, his Ryuken psionic blade held in a reverse grip, appearing before the blade could even bury point first in the floor. This manuever was called Senka, a technique of his own design that he had developed during his time with Tsukiko and the humans.

With out so much as a blink he thrust back and up, timing the attack perfectly so that as his opponent dropped behind Tsukiko, the pisonic blade would slide neatly right into the spinal column, passing through flesh and bone with no resistance, unable to harm the body of this enemy Vampire, but leaving him paralyzed from the neck down. Seiryu even allowed a smile, it had been with humans in mind that he had created Senka , always rushing around, so fragile, and so hell bent on putting themselves in the position where they could be easily hurt or disabled.

Valizh had sacrificed the most important factor in his hopes to reach her, sacrificing balance and the control of his own movement. As he had lept into the air, he now had no way to change course, and thus in a round about way he had thrown himself onto Seiryu's Ryuken with no way to alter his course or change his position. Child's play.

name: Shizunei,Sakura
Race: Vampire
Status: Level C

She had snuck out of her "polarized" room and she somehow managed to get passed the guards that were stationed by the gate that led to the "outside" world. It was dark out and she wanted to run away from this place. Far away, this place was more like a prison than a haven. Her parents had been killed in the war when she was two or three. She was in a town not far from the Vatican in Rome. She went straight into Rome and then she met her. Tsukiko Ashley-Croft. She pulled her hat down over her sunglasses that covered her eyes. As she tried to walk passed her, hoping against hope, that the other would confuse her for a human.
