Vampire Knight Roleplay

Roleplaying Site for Matsuri Hino's Vampire Knight

It was Valentine's Day at Cross Academy. For hours before the nightclass was even ready to head out of the moon dorms, the vampires could hear the boisterous dayclass outside the gates. Ruka growled and pulled her pillow over her ears. Such annoying things. She wished to lash out and make the human girls rip each others voice boxes out. But Ruka reminded herself of her dismal bond to the pureblood Kaname Kuran. Always obeying, never obeyed.

How dare he not see her for the glorious thing she was. How dare he not show her the same loyalty and love that she showed him, time and time again. Not only did he not do her this respect, but he refused her blood now too. What a hypocrit! How easily and quickly he took it from her that one night. How he took so much as if she was the only being he'd ever need. His lustful thirst, thirsty for her. Love. Hah! Perhaps it didn't exist at all. Valentine's Day... a load of bat guano.

And those humans were ever so loud! She rolled over on her side and clutched the pillow tighter. She wondered if she was the only one awake now. Surely someone else was awakened by this racket. Ruka wished today would just go away. She wanted to sleep right on through it. After all, it wasn't like she'd get any Valentines. Not from anyone who matters anyway. Humans giving her chocolate? It would be a better present for them to kill themselves for her. Maybe... just maybe... Akatsuki Kain would give her something. Ruka felt herself smile as she closed her eyes and daydreamed of what he would give her. I can always count on you Kain. And how she loved that about him.

Kain tossed and turned with his head buried under layers of soft pillows in attempt of blocking out the blaring noise coming from the Day Class who eagerly waits for the arrival of the Night Class. Kain groaned in defeat, it's clear that they're not going to stop till they have to go back to their dorms. Putting a hand over his mouth he let out a big yawn evidence of the lack of sleep from the noisy Day Class and for staying up, painstakingly arranging a special gift. Despite of his numerously failed attempts, in the end he made a good batch that seems like it's store bought.

He reached for the small black box resting on his bedside drawer and undid the burgundy wine colored ribbon that tied it together. Kain ever so carefully took off the cover and stared at the three meticulously chocolate shaped roses. It was dark chocolate filled with chocolate liqueur inside and covered in red foil. He placed a small piece of real rose inside and stared at it for a while. He chuckled at the thought of seeing her reaction from receiving chocolates from the Day Class guys then wondered how she will react to his gift.

Seeing that he cannot sleep anymore and class is about to start soon, Kain wrapped up his gift then placed it on his bedside drawer. He slowly rose to his feet then got dressed and placed his gift inside his uniform jacket.
He smirked thinking how slightly masochistic it is that he still follows her around like a little puppy knowing that she wil never look at him the same way she looks at the dorm president. She always had that lovestruck gaze for him and yet her gaze hasn't changed; her gaze when she looks at him is still just as beautiful as ever.

She woke up some hours later. Ruka had the most pleasant dream. And it surprised her that Kaname wasn't in it. In his place was Akatsuki Kain. And yet the dream had made her ridiculously happy. Her cheeks... they were warm. Was she blushing? Ruka touched her cheeks with her slender hands, careful not to cut herself with her nails. "Kain," she whispered to herself. But she had known him for so long... long before she knew Kaname. Kain always felt like another cousin to her, even though he wasn't.

Ruka suddenly realized something, a tragic mistake. She hadn't got anything for Kain. And it was time to get ready to leave. Surely, he wouldn't expect anything from her, right? Maybe he wouldn't get her anything either. Maybe he didn't like her as much as she thought he did. Her heart sank. What if he doesn't like me as much as I think he does? What if he doesn't actually like me at all? Maybe he was just another smooth devil like his cousin Aidou, but much smoother, subtle and dangerous.

Rima had already left her room, leaving the door ajar. Ruka didn't want to get up and leave. She didn't want to see all the humans ooing and ahing over them, over Kaname, over Kain. She didn't want to face Kain empty-handed. Anxiety had struck her. She became paler than usual. "Oh this is stupid." She said to herself. Ruka slid out from under her covers. She stood up and undressed. Her lavender night gown slipping off her body and onto the floor. Ruka felt a breeze. "What... oh the door is open... damnit Rima!" She cursed her roommate under her breathe.

Kain checked his wristwatch, it's precisely 5:30 pm and classes would be starting soon. Everyone is already downstairs, gathered around the Moon Dorm common room chatting casually among themselves. Kain walked through the hallways with a deep thought in his mind, he is planning out how he should give her his gift. Kain was never the type to be so open about his feelings or show affection like gift giving and such. He's not like Ichijou or Aidou who loudly proclaims their thoughts or feelings; like for instance Aidou who in a daily basis worships Kaname.

He slowly descended down the grand staircase and eyed the people in the common room. Much to his surprise Ruka wasn't there, usually she would be there before him. He stopped and glanced up from the hallway he just came out of and wondered what had happened. Was she crying over Kaname again? Or has she stayed up all morning arranging a gift for him? That would never happen and yet why is he continuing to hope even if it's all in vain? He sighed and continued to walk down the stairs then sat on the soft sofa.

(( >.<|| sorry short reply, that's all I can squeeze from my brain for now.))

Ruka quickly dressed herself and scribbled something down on a piece of paper. It was a very simple gift. She hoped that just having it would make Kain overlook the fact that she hadn't exactly put much thought into it. Ruka slowly walked down the stairs to join everyone. It was unlady like to hurry. Quite frankly running was beneath her.

Ruka took her place near Kaname and Kain. Her eyes and mind taking in both. If Kaname weren't around perhaps she'd truly love Kain. And truthfully she always appreciated how dear to her he was. Precious and pathetic, much like herself. And yet how intolerably attractive his cool laid back personality. She often times would find peculiar similarities between Kain and Kaname. True vampires were apt to have humans fawning over them but Kaname and Kain attracted a certain type of female. And she could understand why.

Too bad neither of them probably really want her. She scowled as they began to walk out. Was she doomed to be a spinster? She... Ruka Souen, lacking the love of another. How preposterous.
