Artemis' is a sixteen year old high school student, but instead of attending a regular high school she is here at Cross Adcademy. Artemis has long dark almost black hair that falls passed her waist. Her hair on a typical day is wavy and partly pulled into pigtails, but does happen to style it off an on, mainly simple style unless the occasion calls for fancy. The fringe of her bangs falls into her eyes just slightly. Her soft, inviting looking eyes are a brillant blue with a hint of gray and maybe a bit of green in them. Her eyes are can be warm and gentle, but are now filled with guarded emotions they draw in attention from both classes, Day and Night. They are the eyes that reflection all emotion. Like the raging sea. At times, her eyes can change and no longer look innocent, but angry and fierce like an angry tiger looking for its prey, her eyes are the gateway to her. She's quite small, standing at 5 feet and 3 inches. Her weight is 110 pounds, making her skinny, but that doesn't mean she isn't toned. She has pink pouty lips, full and beautiful and light rosy looking cheeks, her cheek have a tendacy to always look like she has a permanent blush. Her skin a creamy pale, not all white, but not tan and ivory if you will. On her right wrist she has a moon shaped scar that she's had since she was thirteen. Her features are not perfect though she wishes they were, but that's what makes her beautiful, attractive and most of all human.
Artemis, her name is derived from the Greek Goddess, her name meaning Night warrior/ hunter. Artemis' mother named gave her this name cause she was born in the night, what her mother did not tell her was that she was born during a vampire attack. She is completely unaware of this fact. Artemis thrives in the night, she seems more aware, almost like something that belongs in the night.
In her closet and draws there is variety of clothing, mainly dresses and skirts of dark colors, but she does own other articles of clothing. She has an outfit for every occassion ranging from dances to battles, to everyday occasions, to just sitting around the dorm clothing. If the moment demands its she probably has. She usually prefers her uniform to anything though, nothing to fuss over and hse likes it like that.
She had obtained the nickname Arty from her friends. Artemis can be easy to be friends with, if you are human (that includes vampire hunters), she likes making friends, but when is comes to vampires she's a little more careful (at the moment she is unaware of vampires). She isn't sure how to put her past behind her and has difficulty with it and with vampires, but again she has no clue vampire exsist. Vampires aren't her favorite subject either. When people talk about them or fawn over them she usually just stares at them in disbelief, like they came from another planet.
Artemis can be quite the klutz at times. She can even trip over her own feet. She thinks she has what she calls an unbalanced equallibrium. But in fact she isn't always clumsy. When she is in battle is quite graceful with her movements. She tries to be as observant as possible, but sometimes fails, she wants to be as observant as her best friend (Troy) he seems to know the difference between the smallest things. When it comes to school she is a brainiac. Passing all her subjects with flying colors, never missing an assignment and always being the little teachers pet.
She has her own opinion when it comes to vampires. She is interested in how they work, but more repulsed by them than anything, to her they are murders. She knows most of the old tales and myths and laughs at them often for their corny -ness and hates it when people fawn over their beauty. When Artemis was little her family was attacked by a pureblood leaving her and her friend alive. Her best friend has kept a dark secret from her about vampires. She wants to know more about them and demands that one day she brings that pureblood down for what he did. She is has been told once before (but can't remember) to try putting her past behind her and not hold it against all vampires for what happened. But for now she is relearning her past due to an encounter with Kaname Kuran.
Artemis Kobayashi is considered special, to vampires her blood smells delicious. It is the smell of the sweetest fragrance. Impossible to describe unless you have smelled it. Vampires are drawn to it like magnets. Because of her blood, Artemis is a danger magnet. She has been told before that she smells good enough to eat but she never understood. Another special thing about her is that her blood provides a special power to vampires. Even though she is human she has a sixth sense about things and vampires would love to have that. So in a way Artemis is a danger to herself. But that doesn't stop her.
- Character Personality (how does your character thinks, reacts or acts):
- Artemis can be considered an open book, open to the world but only through her eyes. If looking into her eyes you can see everything. If you look hard enough you could probably see the secrets to life. She normally avoids danger/conflict if possible, but again she is danger prone so she deals with it as it comes. One thing about her is she loves to smile, but you will only see it if you are close to her. She tries to be the happiest she can be when not worrying about the other things going on around her, the suspicious things. A saying of hers is Life is worth living, the day to day things bring the joy of being alive. If though she seems happy to her friends she is a very guarded person. Scared to get close to anyone really.
She says she acts normally all the time and others probably could be fooled if they didn't look at her eyes. People are intrigued by her because of her mysteriousness. Your first impression of her is that she's a good girl, polite, and just a bit shy, she gets over that really quick. Her polite-ness stays no matter what, it dwindles a bit once she gets to know you. She is a high spirited girl in more ways than just the happy part, her high spirits drag her through the dark times as well. When it comes to humor she has her witty come backs, but she doesn't think she's funny at all so she's the spectator, the one laughing usually. She has an edge to her, stubborn and rash at times. But level headed as well. She has her moments of being sharp, harsh if you will. She doesn't let up till she sees fit. But she usually is a good girl if you will. She'll sometimes pass things off with a smile, but it will come back later.
Artemis is innocent at heart, with her simple thinking. She fights for what she believes is right. She is sensitive and strong. She can cry over the slightest things like a memory like those with her family. If someone she loves is in danger she will fight to protect them even at the cost of her own life, that's how she grew up. Her family risked their live for her and she will do the same for her loved ones. She has a tendancy of saying things that make other see the truth behind her motives even if it hurts them, she s a to the point person when need be.. She is a good soul and wishes that is some way or another everyone can get along so she can stop fighting for survival. She thinks that she can be selfish sometimes wishing to keep things peaceful or wanting her loves ones to get along even if the world or fate says they can't or shouldn't.
Artemis has a love for sweets like ice cream and chocolate. Her favorite ice cream flavor is green tea. Her favorite kind of chocolate is the chocolate creme filled truffles. When Artemis eats it's isn't a whole cow, but she can eat a lot and still not gain really any weight. Her favorite color is Topaz. It reminds her of a lot of things in her life. But when it comes to basic colors she loves white and blue in fact a lot of her wardrobe is blue and white. Artemis loves to collect stuffed animals (plushies). She loves plushies. In her free time she likes to draw, write, and sing. Her drawings consists of memories. When she sings people have said she has a voice of bells, sweet and beautiful, but she believes otherwise, yet she still sings. Currently Artemis is in the middle of getting her memories back.
When it comes to Artemis' dislikes or fears she's pretty normal. She doesn't like dark chocolate it's to bitter for her. She hates and fears spiders, but that's cause she's allergic to their venom. She hates obnoxious noises like the horns those cars for children or the horns for the bikes. Hse alos can't stand when she has to tell people something more than twice. She hates clowns. She hates when people try to hurt the people she cares for. She hates ghost stories cause she believes in ghosts. She gets scared of horror movies and after watching them can't be left alone, her friend Troy knows this first hand. She has a slight fear of heights. But she is doing what she can to get over that.
Artemis is an open-minded girl to a point and will take into consideration anyone's ideas or your life style unless you are a vampire, but who knows she may change for people she loves. She loves new things. She'll accept you for who you are, she isn't judgemental or tries not to be. Her friends consider her a baby, she cries at sad or romantic movies. She is sensitive, but hates being so cause she believes it's weak. When she's happy, she smiles a lot, becomes more energetic and upbeat. When she gets angry her eyes will be slightly darker and she'll be a bit withdrawn from her normal self. She'll be harsh and quick to snap to conclusions She will quiet, but always on the defensive no matter what. When she is in a fight whether it be with friends or a battle with someone threathening her life she becomes serious and acts more like a trained soldier and that's believed to be because her father was a hunter and instilled the basic defend yourself techniques into her, but in fact it has little to do with that. It has to do with the blood running through her veins. Over all though she is a happy girl who loves life.
- Character Background (your character history before s\he joined the Academy):
- Artemis' past defines who she is. Her happy time with her family, to the sad times of losing them, and to the love she has from her friends. Her family consisted of her Mother (Yumi), her Father (Ryu), and her twin brothers (Tsukasa and Toji). They were the greatest family a young girl could ever hope for. The love was like no other. She also had/has a best friend (Troy Shiro). He was basically part of the family in a way. Her father Ryu was the vampire hunter in the family. He was going to teach the twins to be hunters cause Artemis wasn't sure if she wanted to be one. Her mother refused to have their daughter in danger like that. So instead of training Artemis to become a hunter he trainer her in the basics of defending herself. Her trained her in martial arts. Ryu gave her a knife for her sixth birthday. It was engraved, with the word heart. Artemis was also brought up to be a priestess in the temple she grew up on. Her mother taught her how to be in tune with the elements.
When Artemis was 6 years old, a tragic thing happened to her and her family. Coming home from her best friend's house they both walked into her house not knowing that a pureblood vampire had been hiding out there. It was hiding out for her. Her friend Troy defended her as did her family. That very vampire wanted nothing but Artemis, drawn in by her blood and her sixth sense. He wanted the power. Her family was slaughtered, leaving just her and Troy to face the pureblood. Grief stricken Artemis couldn't think. Her brain had shut down. Troy had taken an attack to save her. That vampire had escaped from the temple with the same secret Troy was hiding. He knew what Troy was. The pureblood was too weak to fit another of his kind.
Being orphaned Troy had taken Artemis to a friend of his family's and asked for the man to care for her. That friend was a vampire hunter. He knew Artemis' father and knew Yumi's wish not to train her as a hunter so he continued her self defense training instead. She grew up there for years, with Troy visiting often. She was practically this man's daughter.
On her ninth birthday she was given a charm she wears in her hair when it's tied back. Connected to it are two perfectly golden bells. Artemis was the happiest anyone could be, but she still hurt inside from not having her family. Every year she turned a year older she counted their ages with her.
The day she turned 13 she had a surprise party thrown for her by Troy and her adoptive father. It was small, but she didn't care. She recieved a plushie to add to her collection of them. This one was of a monkey. It had a tag attached to it and had the saying even monkeys fall off trees. It was to brighten her up for all the times she has been a klutz.
That same year a tragic thing happened. But a confusing event as well. Artemis was heading back to her adoptive father's house with Troy or who she thought was Troy when he turned on her. All she remembered was if anything where to hurt her or turn into something terrible she was to defend herself the best she could. She did what she was instructed and killed who she thought was her best friend. (though she doesn't know it was his twin brother who she only met once for a good reason.) Thinking it was her friend she broke down at seeing her friend's body in front of her.
After that Artemis was a silent girl. The students at the school she was attending were thinking something was wrong with her. They avoided her. She was offically afraid of vampires and thinking the people around her were them and most of the time she still thinks that. Her adoptive father saw what was going on with Artemis. He made a call to the Headmaster of Cross Academy and told him everything and suggested that Artemis be sent there. And that's how she got to Cross.
Since then she has met so many people. Even vampires and has been trying to get better. Someone told her once that she needs to put her past behind her, try to move on. For her family. To be strong for them. She even met up with her friend Troy again. His secret was revealed, but now is once again hidden.
She came into contact with Kaname Kuran one night revealing to him how much she knew about vampires and he did what he thought he needed to do, he erased her memories and switched a few things around. She remembers her friends, her family, but not the vampires or Troy's secret.
- What are your character's special skills and unusual abilities (if you're human) or your powers (if you're vampire)? Please keep this at least somewhat faithful to VK canon, don't start making up powers that would completely make no sense in the series.
- Artemis is skilled in Martial Arts due to her father and her mentor training her constantly since she was able to understand, she was trained in Judo, Tae Kwon Do, and Hop Ki Do. Artemis excelled in the sport with her accidents here and there.
Artemis was also trained with weapons by her mentor, Takashi. He Trained her with a sword, showing her MSC or Mortal Sword Combat. Swordplay and such. The correct way to wield a katana. He trained her on how to use her dagger that she now always has with her tucked away under her uniform away from the eyes of the students and teachers. She was also trained in using bows and arrows, target practice. She needed to learn how to hit a target from far distances and that was the best way.
She also has a sixth sense on the elements because her mother brought her up as a preistess. She sometimes doesn't know when or if she is using that sixth sense of hers. With that sixth sense comes a sense of what can happen. Possiblities if you will. Though it is weak, it is still there. She is after all human.
Some of her talents are singing, and her drawing. Her singing can be described as a succubus the beautiful creatures of the sea that would lure sailors to them by their beautiful voices. And with her drawings, name and she'll put it on paper. She can even draw a memory to an exact detail.
Another is her amazingly sweet blood. It has the power to give vampire the sight. She doesn't know she has it or how it can to be. Her blood smells to good to pass up for vampires and they constantly are after her. That very blood ran through the veins of royalty years and years ago.
- How does your character feel about her\his vampiric state (if you're vampire) or How would your character react if s/he was turned into a vampire (if you're human)?
- Artemis would ultimately be disgusted with herself. She would fear and hate herself for the very thing she wants to get revenge on. But a part of her would learn to live with it as well. It has it's perks.
- Character Family and Friends:
- Kobayashi Yumi - Mother (deceased)
Kobayashi Ryu - Father, hunter (deceased)
Kobayashi Tsukasa and Toji - younger twin brothers (deceased)
Shiro Troy/Black Howling - Best friend/Childhood friend. Artemis slightly has a crush on him but doesn't act much due to lack of knowing how plus she doesn't know who is right for her.

Shizumasa Rui - A young man she just met and is still trying to figure out. She is glad she isn't the only one with a love for the arts.
Hedeko Meco - A friend that she has seen around the campus, he is very nice to her almost like a brother type.
Otomiya Noako - new friend someone she is still getting to know.
Hanabusa Aidou - Someone Artemis likes to talk to and spend time with.
Natsumi Sayuri - Friend and Roommate
Matsuyama Kojiro- An upper classman of her in the Night Class who was kinda enough to help her in one of her klutzy moments. She finds him interesting and cares to know much more about him.

- Artemis loves music, all her music is on her ipod or as she marked it iArt and when she gets frustrated or something is bothering her she'll lose herself in music. She can also lose herself to the music while drawing. She tends to pop in her ear phones and let lose on campus and the havoc of her crazy self is released to the students and staff. Artemis is a big dancer she needs to move with the music sometimes.
Artemis loves sports Everything is her thing except golf. She hates it with a passion. She loves to swim and her favorite is archery. Running is a sport she tries to indulge herself in when needed. It is also her 'thinking' sport. Fencing is another favorite of hers. She loves to show off what she was taught.
Artemis has a habbit of carrying her dagger around. She doesn't remember why but she does and it bothers those who know usually. Artemis has this quirk to her that she twirls her hair around her finger when she's really nervous.

- Artemis let her feet drag as she trudged through the hallway of the Sun dorms. Her day had been one of a nightmare. Her friend had moved away leaving the academy. She was now alone. She hated the feeling. She didn't really know too many people for she kept to herself. Artemis sighed and dug her hand into her uniform pocket to pull out her dorm room keys. Finding them amongst a few other little trinkets she set them to work on the lock. Opening the door she threw her belongins on the floor not caring if they got in the way and went to the windowsill.
"Too many nights have I spent alone." she had spoken this way for amusement for when alone in her room she spoke as a poet whether it be writing or spoken words. It was a quirking habit she developed over the years. Leaning on the window sill she looked up at the moon. Tonight seemed to be an awkward night. It wasn't a normal one that's for sure. Her intuition was blaring the alarms something was going to happen and it was not something she was goingto like.

- I'm a girl in a small town that now lives in Georgia until I move next that loves anime. I fell in love with the series and here I am. Not much to say but my hobbies are drawing, writing, painting and singing. I love to read, I'm a big fan of the Twilight series. It is my drug. ^^|| I've been told I sound very young for my age, but in fact I'm not as young as people think. I have a love for writing and roleplaying fit right into that so here I am.

I'm sorry for being gone for sooo long. I had a lot of personal issues to deal with, and still dealing with them, but I am back. ^^ I hope to get caught up and start over agin with my character if the mods allow me too. *bows* I do owe an apology to everyone it's been such a long time. ^^ Please forgive me for my absence.

So sorry everyone
Lately i don't know when but someone has been messing with my account mainly my profile. Yes I was planning on changing this around in there but not the way it is. I'm sorry if anyone got offended by anything. For the next couple of days I will be working on cleaning up my profile and my rpc. I will most likely change the picture too.
