Character Description (tell us what your character looks like):

Petite, about 5 ft. tall. Long black hair that reaches to the waist, scary red eyes, and extremely pale skin (she's part albino). Is frequently seen wearing the boy's uniform because she hates skirts and dresses.

Character Personality (how does your character thinks, reacts or acts):

Is extremely cool and composed, but softens up around the Day class students (unless they're being annoying). She usually wears a very impassive expression and doesn't react dramatically to anything (unless you count an occasional punch to the face). She doesn't like the fact that most vampires are selfish and manipulate humans, and sometimes says she wishes she was born a human and not a vampire. Many of the Night class students treat her as a threat and an enemy, which appears to not annoy her (she's actually hurt by it).

Character Background (your character history before s\he joined the Academy):

Misaki was an illegitimate child and spent most of her childhood raised by humans so that nobody would know about her - after her real mother married for good and her human mother died, she was "adopted" into the family after the parents "found out she was a vampire and decided to take her in". In contrast to the kind humans she used to know, Misaki's parents were often abusive to the point of stabbing her over and over with glass shards to make her stop crying. Her mother always apologized afterwords, but couldn't break the habit - her father never said anything. Her parents recently refused to even talk to her or give her anything but food and shelter, saying that she disgusted them, even though Misaki seems to still care for and, to a degree, forgive at least her mother. By that time, she seemed to be scarred for life, losing her spirit and trust and closing off parts of her heart to everyone. Cross Academy was an escape for Misaki. She even spends all her vacations and free time there, saying "Don't ever make me go back home."

What are your character's special skills and unusual abilities (if you're human) or your powers (if you're vampire)? Please keep this at least somewhat faithful to VK canon, don't start making up powers that would completely make no sense in the series.

Misaki can put people into either a light, heavy, or almost eternal sleep which only she can remove. She can also choose to give people nightmares through the duration of their sleep, whether it is a natural slumber or one induced by Misaki herself.
She can also sense the presence of dreams and sleep.

Silver Heart: Misaki's locket, an elaborate silver heart, in which is kept a small fragment of the soul and memories of Misaki's dead human mother.

"At night, I can hear them dreaming. Through the haze of chatter, the barriers of thought, the brick walls, I can taste those those dreams, feel them. Their textures vary from bubbly to silky to the sharp shards of pain, and at times I wish that the other vampires could share my abilities. I wish they could understand that humans, too, can feel pain as large as the scope of ours.
In class, I lean my head against the prickly wall. I let my hair slide over my face, a thick black curtain that flutters with my breath. My locket pulses lightly against my skin. Broken glass pricks at the corners of my heart, and I let my eyes film over as I drift into the rivers of other peoples' sleep. I let their dreams and their dreaming wrap like blood ribbons over my conscience.
Let me sleep, let me float away to the sky, leave my body behind forever, eyes blank like a doll's. Let me take my shredded heart out from the cage of my ribs and toss it to the winds. Just let me dream, keep dreaming forever.
