Character Description (tell us what your character looks like):

Childlike and beautifully polished are some of the ways one could describe Kumiko. Her blue hair, silky and smooth, falls just below her back into lovely curls. The bangs frame her face perfectly and sweep to the right side of her forehead in side bangs. Her hair is highlighted brightly when exposed to light. Her eyebrows are thin, almost perfect, as if they were drawn there permenantly. Vibrant violet eyes contrast with her pale porcelain skin, framed with long lashes. These violet eyes reflect many emotions wavering behind them. ‘Drowning’, or losing oneself in them is not difficult for one who is not careful, as you can tell there is a story behind those sorrow-filled eyes. Those long lashes seem to brush against her high cheekbones when she blinks. She stands at a mere 5’2 and weighs only 52kg, but she walks with elegance and grace in every movement. Raised to become a dignified member of the Fujisaki lineage, her graceful appearance matches her status.

Against her bare back, there are a few scars running from her shoulder to her waist. Memories from killing rashly, reminders of what she had done in her past before joining Cross Academy, though invisible to the human eye. Faint, faint markings are left behind by these scars. Her hair, lucky for her, covers these scars and keeps them hidden well from other Night Class members.

As for her clothing choice, Kumiko has a rather traditional choice of clothing for special events. Traditional dresses made by her parents’ line of clothing, Fujisaki Designs, and many other clothing styles from it. Casual is something Kumiko is comfortable with, as she is usually seen dressed both comfortably and casually. As she has a petite build, any clothing you could think wouldn’t look appealing on anybody at first glance would fit Kumiko.

Character Personality (how does your character thinks, reacts or acts):

Described by many of the Fujisaki Household as gentle and calm, Kumiko is essentially perfect to become the next head of the Fujisaki household. Quick to think on her feet, an excellent strategist, attentive to small changes and differences, silent and reserved, as well as headstrong. All qualities her father possessed and she possesses now, though her rather awkward silences and quietness has shown to have receeded quite a bit after joining the Night Class. Taught and raised to be a mature lady of proper lineage, Kumiko shows knowledge of proper manners and procedures when encountering a Pureblood, bowing politely to passing vampires and humans if spoken to and when introducing herself, though she is shy around males. Many tutors used to come in to teach her many different subjects while she lived in the Fujisaki household, therefore she is knowledgeable in many areas of etiquette. Despite this sweet and gentle exterior, she has a great dislike for humans but her reasons are unknown to others.

Friendships aren’t something Kumiko is very fond of. She has few, if any, close friends she knows well, and never inquires about other people’s pasts unless she is asked first. Kumiko is someone you could open up to and vent all your worries and troubles to, and she won’t comment on anything unless you need advice. She listens well to others, and expects nothing in return for her. Selfless, as some may say, but it’s what she calls ‘a good quality to possess’. Most of the time, Kumiko fades into the background unnoticed unless somebody addresses her.

Unknown to most, Kumiko enjoys bloodshed and violence. Especially the bloodshed of those despicable humans. She and her brother had used to go out, maybe killing a human or two in the process of enjoying themselves.

Character Background (your character history before s\he joined the Academy):

Coming from the Fujisaki Household, Kumiko lived under the surveillance of her parents and her older brother, Haji. Surrounded by lavish and beauty, she is expected to live up to fill the void her father, Akemi, and her deceased brother will leave and take over Fujisaki Designs, her parents’ company. Fujisaki Designs is a popular design label amongst teenagers, mostly females. Founded by Fujisaki Akemi, Kumiko’s father, Fujisaki Designs makes many clothing lines, accessories, perfumes and make-up products, shoes, many ideal objects for traditional matters such as tea ceremonies and dancing props. They also make jewelry and stationary.

From birth until moving to Cross Academy, Kumiko was raised in this household, surrounded by big influences and high expectations to become a proper child of the Fujisaki line. Raised by her parents, Kumiko follows in their footsteps and is mere footsteps away from reaching her goal; to become like her brother, for her parents and herself in memory of his death. Originally, her brother was in line to lead the Fujisaki’s after her father dies or passes the position down, but her brother had been killed by hunters which left her to fill in for his position as next heir. Many tutors a day came in, teaching her necessities to becoming the next heir such as traditional arts, musical talent, creativity in designing, modeling, and more of the sort.

Avoiding her past, Kumiko pleaded with her parents’, against their reasoning, to join Cross Academy. Falsely, she agreed with Kuran Kaname and Headmaster Kaien Cross’s pacifism to join the Academy. Successful in joining, Kumiko awaits the opportunity to hopefully meet a male companion sharing her morals, as well as finding vampires with similar principles. Quiet and observing, Kumiko watches her fellow classmates quietly, deciding whether they are worth attempting to befriend or that she should just give up on that individual. Whether she lives at the Academy or not, she is determined to return one day to the Fujisaki Household with a male companion to inherit the position as Head of the Fujisaki Line.

What are your character's special skills and unusual abilities (if you're human) or your powers (if you're vampire)? Please keep this at least somewhat faithful to VK canon, don't start making up powers that would completely make no sense in the series.

Agility, enhanced vision, smell, and hearing, extraordinary strength, and the ability to regenerate and heal quicker than Level C’s as well as seal memories with the touch of a human’s forehead are the Noble blood abilities Kumiko possesses. She is sensitive to the scent of blood and sudden changes in lighting, as well as loud noises. Adapted to many different battle situations thanks to the training from her grandfather and father, as well as her brother, Kumiko knows many defensive martial arts and a few fatal offensive strikes.

Inherited from her parents, Kumiko possesses the ability to manipulate ice, meaning freezing water particles in the air as well. Trained to the fullest extent by her brother, she has mastered this ability to manipulate ice. She uses this power to both create a weapon when she doesn’t have one with her, as well as stop her ‘prey’ from running and screaming.

Other than that, she is skilled in traditional arts such as flower arrangements and tea ceremonies as well as traditional dancing. Taught by many renowned individuals, Kumiko is talented in other areas such as music and the arts, the arts meaning writing, drawing, and anything related. All of these skills are requirements made by her parents so she can become a lady of proper lineage and pedigree.

How does your character feel about her\his vampiric state (if you're vampire) or How would your character react if s/he was turned into a vampire (if you're human)?

Pleased is really one of the only ways to describe her feelings towards her vampiric state, as she believes mortals are a inferior race to vampires. She was born into a Noble blood family, destined to inherit the seat as Head of the Family.

Fujisaki Akemi~ Holding the position as Head of the family, Fujisaki Akemi is father to Kumiko. Casting a large shadow over Kumiko as he had with her brother, Akemi is the founder of their much successful corporation, Fujisaki Designs, along with his wife, Moanna, and still runs the corporation today, living in the Fujisaki Manor.

Fujisaki Moanna~ The mother of Kumiko, Fujisaki Moanna is a retired model and works as the vice president and designer for Fujisaki Designs. She is much loved by Kumiko, and adored both her children. Not one for many words, Moanna always showed her affection towards Kumiko and Haji through her actions. She lives with Akemi in the Fujisaki Manor.

Fujisaki Haji~ Once living, Fujisaki Haji was the much idolized brother of Kumiko. He was once in line to become the next Head of the Fujisaki line, but died during a Level E killing competing with hunters, all witnessed by Kumiko. He absolutely adored Kumiko with all his heart from her birth until his death, caring for her when their mother and father could not.

Friends? Kumiko has no friends. No friends at the Academy that know of her complete past, no friends outside the Academy whatsoever.

Items of Note (Objects and other possessions that your character owns that are not common or easy to obtain)

Ketsueki Kurobara, meaning ‘bloody black rose’, is a katana left for her by her brother as a last memory. Used for traditional sword dances and on occasions, slayings, Kumiko treasures the blade and takes very good care of it. Made from pure silver, Ketsueki Kurobara is the commonly used hunting weapon of Fujisaki Haji. How he got a hold of the katana is unclear to Kumiko.

A special gift to her from her mother to Kumiko for her 2nd birthday, Sleeping Beauty is one of the few Antonio Stradivari violins left retraining its original neck. Used to play for special performances and occasions, Kumiko keeps this violin in its original case, always remembering to tune it occasionally.

Character Goals:

Kumiko’s goals? To meet a male companion sharing her ideals, make a good friend or two who both share her ideals as well, and of course, to succeed her father in both taking position as Head of the Fujisaki line and Fujisaki Designs. She also wants to eliminate the Human Race off the face of the earth, except a few hundred for feedings. Other than that, her goals are non-existent.

Making a hobby out of creating her own clothing and jewelry, Kumiko enjoys musical arts, listening to her iPod, dancing, slayings, and hates perky, happy-go-lucky humans and on occasion, vampires. She also despises any vampires that side with humans, and is what you may call sadist. She has a pet wolf with jet black fur and amethyst eyes, which she named Aikko. Kumiko is somewhat shy around the opposite gender, and enjoys teasing people for laughs at times.

A wind blew in from the north, tangling her blue hair. Her hands were stuffed in her pockets as she walked around the forest, waiting for some unsuspecting mortals to come along. "Where am I?" A weak voice asked. Time for her 'innocent' act. "Excuse me, miss, but are you lost?" The girl replied with a nod. "Are your parents worried? Do you think anybody is worried about you?" She asked, covering her voice up with a fake caring tone. The girl shook her head. No. How foolish that would be. "Would anybody miss you if you died?" The little girl shook her head. "Enjoy this one-way trip to your funeral then." She whispered, lunging for the girl before her.

Her tongue extended and slide across her finger, licking off all the leftover blood. Dumping her in the ocean seemed like a good idea. Kumiko slid her arms underneath the limp body. She easily lifted it towards a cliff, and threw the body of the girl over the edge and into a pool of rocks.

"Where did you go?" A voice echoed throughout the whole mansion. Kumiko did not flinch even a tiny bit from the loud voice. "...I went somewhere, father." She spoke in a monotone voice. "I wanted to go see the water, see the ocean." She whispered. A slap across the face is what that earned her. "Don't leave the house without me knowing again." He stated, clearly infuriated. "Akemi-san, wait! Don't scold her! I was the one who told her she could go outside!" Her mother said in a loud voice, rushing into the room. "...Kumiko go to your room." Her father said in a displeased tone and turned to her mother. They spoke in such a low voice she could barely hear them, even with her hearing.

Her feet slid across the floors of the mansion hallways as she dragged herself back into her room. She kicked off her converses and plopped down onto her black canopy bed. A knock on the door sounded. "Come in..." She murmured. Her brother appeared at the door and smiled at her. He slowly sat down beside her on her bed and began stroking her hair. "I heard father get mad at you. But what exactly did you do?" He asked teasingly. "I killed a girl." She murmured, leaving out the dumping part while laying an arm over her eyes. She used her free hand and held onto her brother’s hand tightly, never wanting to let go. He grinned. "Again with the killings? I told you to wait for me this time," he chuckled, kissing her forehead softly while soothing her to sleep.

She sighed, remembering that day. Closing her eyes, Kumiko imagined what Haji might have looked like now. Happy, vibrant hazel eyes, silky blonde hair, a large smile upon his lips. This was the image of Haji that Kumiko always had, a happy smiling older brother, always loving her from her birth until his death. Resting her head in the palm of her left hand, she twirled a lock of her blue hair as she looked out the window of her dorm. A soft sigh escaped Kumiko’s lips. “Onii-chan…”She whispered, her amethyst eyes slowly closing as she drifted asleep against the window sill..

How long have you been a fan of this series?

Since January 2008. As soon as I heard of Vampire Knight and read the first chapter, I was officially hooked. It's like my drug.
