Character Description (tell us what your character looks like):

With simply glowing emerald green eyes and beautiful eyelashes to frame them, Kinshikurai Shiori has arrived at the Academy. Her shoulder length cotton-candy pink hair blew in the breeze, every lock floating to frame her face. Her pale, peachy skin was a perfect fit for her adorable face, making her look as if she were only a fifth grader. An adorable smile set itself onto her expression as she walked through those large, towering gates. This was to be her home.

Standing at only a mere 5'5, Shiori was very petite compared to the gates. Her flats made it worse, especially considering she was 15 going 16. Despite all this, she still stands with a beautiful, charming smile upon her face as she wheeled her luggage onto Academy Grounds. Dressed in the Academy uniform, which was a bit big on her small body, Shiori smiled at any bypasser she crossed, even the squirrels.

Compared to many other students, Shiori was small indeed. Her body was a small build, not very athletic looking despite her love of sports. Her hands held a strong grip of her luggage, her legs striding confidently across the grounds and towards the Sun Dorms. This was to be her new home.

Character Personality (how does your character thinks, reacts or acts):

A big, dazzling personality came with the small Kinshikurai Shiori. She is one to care for others and put much thinking into what she should say, as it might insult or hurt other people; a big conscience for a small girl. She is not one to judge others, nor does she care if she is judged. She is headstrong, and doesn't give in to peer pressure. Many could say she is an ideal person to look up to.

Greeting everyone with a smile is one way of Shiori's to be polite. "A smile is the foundation of a new blooming friendship", or as Shiori had put it. It might make no sense, but once you become friends with her, you will understand and comply with her reasoning for this quote. She has a heart of gold and a pure one at that. She never thinks about what might happen to herself, but what might happen to others and how this might affect them.

Her studies have not once dropped despite the many different things running through her head. 'Will my friend be alright? Did they study? What will I make for dinner? Who shall be joining us tonight? What do I have today?' are most of the things running through the small head of hers. She is a multi-tasker, able to do things at once and efficiently as well, though she can not handle more than four things at once.

A fair warning, do not take advantage of anyone she is close to, Shiori can be vicious at times when her loved ones are hurt, be it emotionaly or physically.

What was Shiori to do? She was distracted easily, that's for sure. Once she has a topic to think about, every thought in her mind is related or revolving around the topic. It was a habit. She would forget everything else for a while until she was reminded that she had something else going on.

Character Background (your character history before s\he joined the Academy):

Kinshikurai Shiori stared out the window, reflecting on all that had happened through her life up until the Academy. Her eyes closed as she rested her head in the palm of her left hand, listening to the pitter patter of the rain against the windows.

When she had been born, her mother had died. She had grown up with only her father; who had re-married to a very beautiful, kind woman. Shiori loved her step-mother. She was adored, loved, and cared for. A very lucky girl, as not many people have such adoring parents that do not need to work all day long. She knew this, and she was very grateful.

She had been sent to the Academy because her father had gotten a request to work overseas, and Shiori didn't want to make him stay behind to care for her. Entering the Academy, Shiori had made her father and step-mother promise to stay overseas for as long as it is needed, which Shiori expected to be until she graduates from the Academy.

A pretty kind childhood compared to other children, she grew up happy and loved by both parents. Sighing, she stared out the window. She missed the comfort of home already, but her leaving was for the best.

What are your character's special skills and unusual abilities (if you're human) or your powers (if you're vampire)? Please keep this at least somewhat faithful to VK canon, don't start making up powers that would completely make no sense in the series.

"Unusual abilities? Are these things needed for the Academy?" Shiori asked, tlting her head to the side. "I don't have any unusual abilities... What are you talking about?" Shiori questioned, undeniably confused about the question being asked.

How does your character feel about her\his vampiric state (if you're vampire) or How would your character react if s/he was turned into a vampire (if you're human)?

"Vampires? Do they exist? What are you talking about? Those things are just myths! Garlic, crosses, fangs, blood-sucking monsters, everything! It's just a myth! They're not real!" Shiori denied the existence of these things since she was young, and never will.

Character Family and Friends:

"Family and friends? Well, my father is Kinshikurai Koji, and my mother was Kinshikurai Kaori. Our family name, Kinshikurai, means serene and calm. My father's name means abundance, and my mother's name means fragrance. My step-mother's name is Saishii, which means lonely." Shiori smiled, not in the mood to explain about each family member.

"I have no friends so far. I had to leave all my friends back in my neighbourhood."

"I don't own anything worth mentioning. Everything I own is common, like clothing, some makeup, necklaces, pencils, books, erasers and some other school nessecities." Shiori explained.

Character Goals:

"Goals? What goals? Oh yeah, mine! Well, I want to make good friends and I want to become a good child for my parents to be proud of!" Exclaimed Shiori, who like always, enthusiastically threw her arms up in the air.

Other Character Information (hobbies, quirks, and other random information) OPTIONAL:

"Well, I enjoy sports, I love sweets, I dislike... nothing really, I can be really annoying, I like jumping around, and that's about it!" Shiori declared to just about the world, screaming out her dorm room window.

Twirling a lock of her cotton candy colored hair in her fingers, Shiori twirled around her dorm room. Her uniform lay spread out on her bed as she twirled around. She wore a black and white stripped long-sleeved shirt underneath a black t-shirt, and a short skirt with different layerings replaced the skirt of the uniform. "Such a big room for one person..." Shiori mumbled to herself as she spun around and around.

Finally tiring herself out, Shiori fell back onto her soft bed. Her left arm draped across her eyes as she yawned. "Ah.. this Academy sure is big. I wonder how I'll find my way around... I'm sure I'll be fine." She muttered before yawning again, stretching out her arms, torso, and legs. Slowly closing her eyes, she drifted to sleep.

Unknown to herself, Shiori had a tendancy to make noises while she slept. Loud noises, like quacks, moo's, barks, meowing and many more sounds. She also talked in her sleep a few times, which she wasn't aware of. It annoyed many people, but they could never stay mad at Shiori for long. Especially if she didn't know about her habits. What were they supposed to do, stay angry at such an adorable girl?

Since January 2008. As soon as I heard of Vampire Knight and read the first chapter, I was officially hooked. It's like my drug.
