Character Description (tell us what your character looks like):

Laney has long black hair and choppy bangs. Her eyes are normally blue but change red sometimes, she's not sure why. When she's not wearing her day class uniform she wears a lot of white breezy dresses. Though she often finds black clothes in her closet that fit her, but she doesn't remember ever wearing them. She keeps them because lately she's been fond of black. You can often find her smiling or pursing her lips in confusion or deep thought.
She's slender and only 5'2" with skin that seems to be more pale by the day. When craving sweet juice (blood) she looks gaunt, starved, and savage.

Character Personality (how does your character thinks, reacts or acts):

Laney is nice and outgoing. She loves the arts and loves talking to anyone she meets. She believes that everyone has a good story to tell and she wants to know them all. When she's not talking to someone she is painting with music blaring or reading.
Her outgoing personality and need for constant stimulation is the way she doesn't think about the hurtful past (Her abuse by a pureblood boy).

Character Background (your character history before s\he joined the Academy):

Laney's rich parents sent her to Cross Academy. Before this, she was home schooled in their mansion. In her free time she would take her easel and paint out to the green fields and paint in the sun. Laney's parents always brought a boy (the pureblood) over. They would make them go on little dates. One night the parents made them sleep in the same bed. Ever since then Laney has had black outs, when she doesn't remember much. And she has urges she can't explain. For now she just pushes them aside.

What are your character's special skills and unusual abilities (if you're human) or your powers (if you're vampire)? Please keep this at least somewhat faithful to VK canon, don't start making up powers that would completely make no sense in the series.

She sees things differently from most other humans. Which helps her when she is painting. Her paintings are extremely detailed.

How does your character feel about her\his vampiric state (if you're vampire) or How would your character react if s/he was turned into a vampire (if you're human)?

Laney has read about vampires in the Anne Rice books that she found in her parents library. However, she doesn't believe in them. If she was turned into one, she doesn't want to think about it.

The truth: Laney was recently bitten multiple times in one night by a pureblood boy. To hid her from him, she was sent to Cross Academy, where she is now undergoing the very early stages of the change. She doesn't know this, and those who do know this (her family and servants are all dead). Only the pureblood and his family live with the knowledge, and he hunts her to this day.

Character Family and Friends:

Mr. and Mrs. Wexley are Laney's parents. Laney doesn't really know what they do, but they are very rich, owning various mansions in different countries that her parents go to (leaving Laney behind).
The “Boy” Laney was forced to share a bed with one night, was never seen by Laney again.
As far as friends go, Laney made friendships with the staff at the mansion, the animals, and two siblings (not hers but the two were siblings) that used to visit her- Nisha and Nollan.
When Laney was forced to go to Cross Academy, she left the few friends she had behind.
All are now dead.

Items of Note (Objects and other possessions that your character owns that are not common or easy to obtain)

She wasn't allowed to take anything with her when her parents forced her out of the mansion and into the cross academy. All she has is her clothes.

Somehow her wardrobe is getting larger. Presents left on her bed every night (possibly by the pureblood boy or by his parents who feel guilty for their son's actions).

To forget the past. And just be normal.

Laney's bags were put into her room by her chauffeur. It embarrassed Laney and she couldn't wait for him to leave. Although, she was going to miss the man who helped care for her in place of her father. "Bye Dale, I'll miss you!" She said as she pushed her embarrassment aside and and rushed toward the driver to hug him. Dale laughed and pat her on the head. "Now be a good girl, miss Laney." He meant it too. There was a reason Mr. Wexley sent Laney to Cross Academy.
Laney smiled. She wanted so much to go out already and meet everyone. Dale the chauffeur left her room and Laney peeked out her door. She cautiously stepped out and was bumped into by a boy running by. Laney and him collided. He fell to the floor but Laney stood upright, completely balanced.
She offered her hand to the boy. He looked up at her. Upon seeing her blue eyes now turned red, he was scared and ran off away from her. Laney didn't blink but kept walking towards the main sun dorm door.

Not much to say... I also play Ruka. I'm finishing college and have a crazy full time job. Classes are almost over this semester and I'm super exited!
