Vampire Level (only if you're a vampire - select Level 0 if you're human):
Level 0: Human
Character Description (tell us what your character looks like):
“Frail” would be the word that people would describe her as. Her body looks as though it would break on touch, but this is hardly the case. Her appearance deceives most people into believing her to be a normal person, deceives fellow students into thinking that she is just like them.
If a person were to look into Masumi’s eyes, they would notice that they aren’t the same color. Her right eye being a deep shade of green, while her left is a lucid blue.
Her hair is a light shade of brown, and cut to end at her neck, a fringe of bangs hovering above her eyes.
She has pale pink lips compliment her even paler skin tone. Her skin is clear and soft, though she doesn’t do anything out of the ordinary to have it remain this way. It comes naturally, as do the rest of her looks.
Masumi stands a little shorter than the average 17-year-old does. Only reaching that of 5’3” but she doesn’t fret over such trivial things.
She wears the day class uniform the way it is meant to be worn. Crisp creases, no wrinkles, no lint. She does this out of respect for herself and the school, she does this because her upbringing taught her to act in such a manner.
Character Personality (how does your character thinks, reacts or acts):
Masumi could be described as a kind soul, caring deeply for the people able to get close to her.
Her sense of right and wrong is above average and she would never participate in anything that she has doubts in. While most vampire hunters would follow their superiors to the very end in fear of their life, she questions everything she’s doing, and if needed will refuse to do things that she believes is wrong.
Reluctant to kill, Masumi believes that she isn’t cut of the same material as other vampire hunters. She sympathizes with the ones she is sent to kill and tries to make their death quick and painless. Others have described this as a weakness, and while she agrees with them, she can’t help but be who she is.
In combat she is quick on her feet and utilizes everything in her surroundings to win. If she can see the battle going down, if she can see that there is a possibility that she won’t make it out alive, she won’t back down. She will do whatever she can to get the people around her to safety, even if what needs to be done to achieve that results in her death.
Character Background (your character history before s\he joined the Academy):
Her family can trace its roots to the very beginning of the Vampire Hunter Society and used to be all "gung-ho" about it. . . Her ancestors a few of the best the country has seen. They participated in the creation of the Hunter’s Association, one of the clans that aligns themselves with the “Big 4” as they are more commonly known.
But as the years went by, time changed, and vampires and the ones that hunted them became more of a myth than reality, the Okura leaders believed it to be better for their family to recede with them. They worked on blending themselves with the public, to become citizens of normal status, rather than the noble like family they once were.
On the outside they appear to be a simple family, running a well-known dojo in Masumi’s hometown of Fukuoka. On the outside they seem to be nothing more than a family that excels in the martial arts, where others practice business, they train.
But if one were to get a glimpse into the real workings of the family, it would be obvious that they are more than what they seem. The descendants of the family are trained thoroughly in different forms of combat, and once every 15 years, they enter a tournament in which two will be chosen to take over the family’s responsibility of vampire hunting. The successors chosen from the previous ones, only eligible to be chosen if they prove they are the best for the job.
It wasn’t long after the heirs were chosen that the Okura family learned of the existence of Cross Academy. . . They decided that it would be a good place to send their apparent heirs for training.
"What better way to learn to kill the beasts then to be able to watch them so close?"
When they were chosen, Masumi and her elder cousin Satoru transferred to Cross Academy to receive the training that their family wanted them to obtain.
What are your character's special skills and unusual abilities (if you're human) or your powers (if you're vampire)? Please keep this at least somewhat faithful to VK canon, don't start making up powers that would completely make no sense in the series.
Ever since she was little, Masumi has been able to sense the difference between humans and vampires, and what abilities they might possess. Perhaps this is because she has such a strong Vampire Hunter lineage; perhaps it’s only because she’s very aware of other people.
She’s a very good combatant, her profile completely rounded. The Okura family is known for their expertise in Judo, Kendo, and Kyudo, these three forms of martial arts what they teach in their dojo. Each of the people in their family is proficient in all three forms.
She also is very skilled in the usage of projectile weapons.
How does your character feel about her\his vampiric state (if you're vampire) or How would your character react if s/he was turned into a vampire (if you're human)?
Becoming a vampire could possibly be the worst things that could happen to Masumi. In the Okura history books, one member suffered that fate and when they eventually turned to a Level E, they decimated almost half the clan.
To prevent this from ever happening again, the Okura family vowed that if one of their members were to be bitten by a Pureblood and live, the family itself would take that individual out.
Character Family and Friends:
Okura Satoru – Masumi’s elder cousin that she has been close to since she was a young child. He is only a few months older then her, this being one of the reasons that their bond is so strong. She looks up to him and he looks out for her, almost as though they were siblings. It is for this reason that she has taken to calling him “Onii-sama” and he calls her
“Imouto-chan.”
Items of Note (Objects and other possessions that your character owns that are not common or easy to obtain)
Masumi wields twin pistols, passed through her family for generations, both with a barrel about 8 inches in length. Gold pieces running along the side, the rest of the gun a dark purple with a hint of silver.
It isn’t the pistols themselves that make the two guns something to be afraid of, but the bullets that are placed inside. The bullets that the pistols wield shatter 1 minute after contact with a mass amount of vampire blood. Their structure not meant to hurt much on contact, but to cause pain when the opponent least expects it.
Like every other weapon made for vampire hunting, it is impossible for the bullets to harm a regular human. If the gun were to be loaded with standard bullets, it would function as a regular gun.
Apart from the two pistols, Masumi also uses a range of projectile weapons. One of the things that she employs is the use of acupuncture needles to paralyze her victims and to cause them to become numb as she kills them.
Her knowledge in paralysis is what differed her from the rest of her cousins. It is because she employs this technique that she was chosen to be an heir to the Okura family.
Character Goals:
Masumi wants to make her parents proud. This is the reason behind her trying to hard to become one of the Okura family heirs and also why she participates in things such as her arranged marriage to a man she doesn’t know.
Other Character Information (hobbies, quirks, and other random information) OPTIONAL:
The Okura family is one that still participates in Arranged Marriage, an act that dates back to the Muromachi period of Japan. ((16th Century.))
Sample Roleplay: (Provide a well written sample roleplay about your character. The sample has to be at least two paragraphs or more, this shows us how well you can roleplay and know that you are fit for this character if you're applying for a canon character.)
Breathing heavily, Masumi looked at her opponent in front of her. It was she who had asked him to train her, it was she who had trained hard every day to be able to spar with him at this level.
She watched him charge at her, his footsteps light on the wooden floor. He was fast, he was the best in their family and that was why she had chosen him. The fact that he accepted surprised her beyond belief, she had always held him in the highest regard, though they were only months apart.
His attack hit her before she could react. Pain seeping through her gentle façade.
“Enough!” She said as she fell to her knees, her breathing ragged. She looked over at him, a smile on his face. Not a smile of victory, but one that told her that he was proud she had chosen him to train with her.
“I thought you would’ve had me stop sooner than that, Mi-chan. You’ve gotten a lot better.” He said as he moved to sit next to her.
“Stop pushing yourself to your limits and you’ll have a chance to learn from your experiences. It will also lessen the time it takes you to come back from such a hit.” He said, still teaching though the lesson was obviously learned. Masumi just stared at him, a smile finding it’s way to her face.
“Thank you.” She said as she lifted her body from the ground, bowing to him before she left the room. When it came to training her, he was stricter than anyone else. They would be the best of friends when not sparring, but inside the dojo, when she was nothing more than his subordinate, she’d treat him with all the respect a teacher deserved.

I wanted a character that had a depressing past, but was strong enough to deal with that. Even though he had his depressed moments, he's gradually getting the hang of blood tablets, ect. After a year it was easier for him. Though, he's confused on what he should do with himself. Yes, just our characters talking would be fun.
OOC: Thanks for the welcome!
It would be very fun. Yeah, we can work around his shyness. I'd like to roleplay with you, your character is interesting. I think it would make a great roleplay.
I'm defiantly interested.
OOC: Congratulations on killing your first Level E through RP. : )
I have invited another character to take my place as the person for you to RP with. I figure that Masumi would be traumatized from killing a vampire and also losing the life of a human girl, so I have invited Yagari to join in the fun of bringing her home.
Thank you for serving as a delightful toy for me to play with and I hope to RP with you again sometime. ^.^
OOC: I guess that's reasonable. I myself usually don't know how to stop writing, but not with this character. My other replies are so different from the ones I produce with this guy.
Yeah, not a lot of Hunters. For the longest time there wasn't even a Yagari, so I decided I would try for him. People say I do pretty good, but I think they just don't want me to quit. I'm not too fond of this guy, not fond at all. XP
I have a question; Are the italics her thoughts? Like her inner self?

OOC: You're okay with replies not being so long that they rival a chapter in the bible? That's good, because with the way my mind has been, you'll be lucky to get that.
I'll reply tonight, probably within the next hour or so. It's funny, I have all these threads, but I still haven't had a thread with Zero. I should get on that soon.
