Character Description (tell us what your character looks like):

Rui’s facial features and physical attributes are just like your any other noble vampires; impossibly beautiful, pale skin and alluring. His facial features greatly resembles his father’s while his personality is of his mother’s. He stands at an intimidating height of 202 centimeters and weights at 95 kilograms. He enjoys sports resulting in a lean well built body and well defined muscles. Like all vampires Rui has a pale complexion, his skin is soft and smooth and incredibly sensitive to sunlight.

His long silver hair travels down in the middle of his back, a few more inches before it reaches his waist, but he plans on cutting it shorter if it ever reaches that length. His silver hair are always neat and in order it’s soft and silky, never in tangles therefore maintaining a healthy mane. His eyes are of a cold blue with a mix in of gray; his eyes gleams or dulls varying from his mood. Rui’s facial features are unbearably beautiful- perfectly shaped eye brows, enticing blue-gray eyes, straight nose, full lips, and a strong jawline.

As for his clothing it’s very simple and not very flashy. During school hours Rui is mostly seen wearing the traditional uniform of the Night Class. While during non-school days he would be seen wearing semi-formal clothes with a pair of dark aviator sun glasses. During formal occasions like a social gathering between nobles and purebloods his clothing is more formal and has a serious business like tone. He is very fond of impressive coats especially the dark colored ones, he even gave his little sister his favorite jacket when they first met years ago.

Character Personality (how does your character thinks, reacts or acts):

He may have his father’s looks but he certainly have his mother’s good side. Upon meeting the first time Rui’s very pleasant and polite always trying to make a good impression. He was taught to always keep his cool and act mature most of the time; he rarely loses his temper unless he’s provoked by something that really irritates him. When he is surrounded by strangers he tends to keep quiet and speak only when he’s spoken to because of his shyness that built up due to the calm silent demeanor he possesses.

He can be outspoken whenever he feels the need to speak up and when he feels that he needs to be heard, but he was taught at an early age to never speak against a pureblood because of the dire consequences.
His calm silent demeanor shouldn’t be taken very lightly, never make the mistake of pushing his berserk button no matter what you are he won’t stop ‘till both of you dies or admits defeat. Rui can be protective especially for family or a loved one, taking or threatening a loved one can provoke him to act on his emotions rather than his rational thoughts.

All in all, Rui is a kind considerate person, he puts the affairs of others before him especially to those who are very close to him.

Character Background (your character history before s\he joined the Academy):

Shizumasa Rui is the bastard child of Shirabuki Tetsuya, his parents were taken away from each other years ago back when Rui was still inside his mother's womb. He grew up in a secluded estate somewhere in the Scandinavia, being raised by his mother and grandfather. Few years later his family moved to Morioka, Japan due to his grandfather's work at the Vampire Senior Council. Years and years went by his father decided to suddenly show up in front of their doorstep bringing with him his daughter Airi. He was confused, not knowing how he should react. Mixtures of different kinds of emotions were swirling inside him but in the end he learned to live with it and get to know his new sibling. His grandfather works at the council so he requested Rui to attend Cross Academy to keep him an update on what's going on and how is it like to live with humans.

What are your character's special skills and unusual abilities (if you're human) or your powers (if you're vampire)? Please keep this at least somewhat faithful to VK canon, don't start making up powers that would completely make no sense in the series.

Rui’s main asset is speed, using his electrical based power he can react and move his body at speeds that would normally be impossible. This ability changes Rui's life force into a field capable of transmitting all electrical impulses from his brain in a straight line directly to the part of the body he wants to use, completely bypassing his nervous system. This ability allows him to move his body according to his own will and the ability to sense his opponent’s movements and have his body react automatically. Another technique he developed is that he is able to shock his opponent by touching him. It allows him to use his energy and transform it into electrical currents.

How does your character feel about her\his vampiric state (if you're vampire) or How would your character react if s/he was turned into a vampire (if you're human)?

He was born and raised as one but if he has a choice he would want to be human for Naoko.

Otomiya Naoko: A Day Class girl he met at the Academy's woods. Her alluring eyes first attracted him and a smile that can rip a big hole in your heart. He loves her dearly and he'll do anything just for her even if it cost his soul or his life.

Items of Note (Objects and other possessions that your character owns that are not common or easy to obtain)

A sword his father once wielded that he gave to Rui a few years ago as a memento. It's a modified blade made for hunting down Level E's and other vampires. Even though it's an anti-vampire weapon it's especially customized for the wielder to not get hurt when using it. It is said to be able to cut through anything, Rui uses it to channel through his electricity based powers, a great combination for eliminating Level E's.

Character Goals:

His goal is to protect Naoko at all costs and take over his grandfather's company and maybe his position at the Council.

Unlike most vampires, Rui favors human and vampires co-existing together, true both species have sinned but there's always room for redemption and a whole new start without the pointless blood shed and the killing of many innocent civilians.

Rui looked through the small opening of the closed curtains in his dorm room, he glanced at the Day Class students running about doing their business. He observed them with such curiosity like an unknown specimen but he couldn't get rid of his blood lust because to him they're still a bunch of walking blood banks. This is all new to him specially the blood tablets he has to take but he has to endure this and make a sacrifice since he's standing up for a cause.

He sighed and closed the curtains, he leaned against the wall with his arms across his chest. He closed his eyes and thought about the things that might happen while in the Academy. Maybe being in a "normal" school might help him refrain from any family drama and the political tension that is rising up between the council, the pro-monarchy supporters
and the hunter's association.

He went back to bed and buried himself under the sheets, he stared at the alarm clock, too early to be awake at this hour. He closed his eyes tuning out the world for now, forcing himself to drift back to sleep.
