+..virtues..+ Sociableness | Very amiable, he befriends everyone one way or another. Acts as a non-obtrusive confidante for chicks and dudes alike, and doesn't mind transferring confession notes for them. | His kohai, "He's like the older brother we've never had~!"

Altruism | He doesn't volunteer for compliments or rewards, but does it because he wants to become a better person. Ayumu tries to keep other kids from facing the same things that happened to him, so he goes out every weekend at the church's orphanages and organizes social services activities. He helps the homeless get jobs too. | The priest, "God had never created a more kind and caring lamb here."

Intelligence | Apparently the reason why Ayumu transferred was because the teachers back at Vradica were unable to offer any more for his education, so he was transferred to Cross Academy. Definitely not the "dumb character" in the book, he does what he can to make class interesting while getting the important facts across | His senpai, "Hey, do you know how I get my homework done so quick and with such high marks?" "How?" "Ayumu goes through all of the difficult parts with me on my homework! That kid's like a genius..."

Character Background (your character history before s\he joined the Academy):

+..timeline..+ 0-5 | Lived in a decrepit family, got sold off into black market as a sex toy on his fifth birthday... However, luckily, he was saved by an unknown benefactor, who tipped off the police and sent the boy on first-class airplane to Vradica.

Upon arrival, the butler read the boy a letter from a mysterious benefactor, which explained that the boy's new name was to be Shoukou Ayumu, the Brilliant Light Within a Walking Dream. From that day onward, Ayumu has always shared correspondence letters back and forth.

5-17 | On his 16th birthday, the nightly letters started to be accompanied with a black rose, and within was a golden pocketwatch, with ".... ... ... ...." inscribed under the cover.
Ayumu has always lived in Vradica, but soon he exceeded the levels of the professors at the colleges themselves. The benefactor, along with the teachers, recommended Ayumu to Cross Academy with the highest accolades. Upon arrival, a new note hinted that the benefactor was a part of the Night classes, and will meet him at the right time.

What are your character's special skills and unusual abilities (if you're human) or your powers (if you're vampire)? Please keep this at least somewhat faithful to VK canon, don't start making up powers that would completely make no sense in the series.

+..magic..+ Resistance | Although Ayumu doesn't realize it, his benefactor's daily "vitamin dosage" is actually a countermeasure that keeps Ayumu from making eye contact, and also isolates Ayumu from the spiritual sphere of influence. As such, mind-reading and most elemental persuasion/attacks won't work most of the time, unless the vampire uses physical violence to reach Ayumu.

Only family is benefactor, who he thinks of as an older brother. A letter hints that the benefactor is a student that is a part of the Night Class. Other than that, Ayumu trusts no one else.

Character Goals:

Even though Ayumu accomplishes so much and has much potential to become successful in nearly any field he wished, he concentrates all his efforts in one secret goal: He has little other wish other than to meet the benefactor.

Until then, Ayumu tries his best to become someone the benefactor will become proud of.

+..sample..+ Friday's 6 o'clock setting sun, the rays of red settling soft on walls, piercing bright through the library's stained windows. Craning his head to the side, Hikari Ayumu bid goodbye to the librarian, a middle-aged lady with pepper&salt shaker hair, who smiled a 'No Problem!' as she locked up the doors. Ayumu shuffled his weight, and turned down the corridor while carrying an impossible pile of textbooks above. The school's briefcase perched precariously off one of the corners.

Turn left here, right, then down the stairs, he thought hastily. Beside him a female kohai ambled down the stairs, her eyes unfocused and dreamy. "Tora-chan~! Aido's going to be waiting for you!" Tora Megumi snapped her eyes awake, realized what her new objective was, and blushed as she sped down the stairs, calling out a 'Thanks!' She joined many other lovestruck teenage girls to shower their affections upon one of the most popular students from Night Class, Aido aka Idol.

Night class, huh. I might find my benefactor there! pondered Ayumu happily, turning down a hall and strolling into the courtyard... by then the excited students were already filing into the Sun dorms before him, and the Night Class already in the classes. Disappointed, he slumped... Big mistake. As soon as he did the babylon tower of books came crumbling down, burying Ayumu in a catacomb of textbooks.

Ayumu finds himself face flat in darkness, and desperately crawls out from the mound. He cringed on the ground, finding his knees scraped bloody, the fluid soaking the black slacks. "Now I have to wash this along with the other people's lau---" Something on the nape of his neck prickled, and he shifted his eyes to the right... Was someone watching him? From the Moon Dorms? No... impossible... he questioned. It's at least 150 yards away, no one could see this far...

Suddenly he felt a smack to the top of his head, Zero reprimanding him for his bookworm antics causing everyone danger, Yuuki kindly picking up Ayumu's books while asking him if he was alright. In a panicked instant Ayumu lumbered quite quickly with Zero's support, while Yuuki shuffled up the rest of his books. As the sun was setting fast Ayumu turned his eyes back on the Moon dorms again, trying as he might to focus his eyes, the wind ruffling through his hair that glowed bloody-red in the waning light.

-Now knows the secret behind the Night Class, but refuses to talk about it lest his memories of his benefactor are erased [see Moonlit Sonnet | Fallen Grace]
