Character Description (tell us what your character looks like):

He possesses beauty and sophistication which surpasses the principles of what a Noble Class would on average meet. His hair goes down mid-length, it’s straight, dark; locks of hair going down both sides of his face along with some bangs in the middle make-up his natural hairstyle. He comes from a well-respected family line and it shows moderately in the way he stands out in the midst of other students in the academy. His most dominate feature are his violet colored eyes which along with the rest if his facial features and milky skin gives off a sense of sincerity to those who were to ever come in contact with this vampire.

He meets an average height for students in his age group which is around six feet; his body is very slender from the legs, up to his waist, from there his torso and arms are a tad broad. But do not let his body-type deceive you, remember, he is a vampire. Other then the usual Night Class Uniform, he favors two outfits. He is very stylish and it shows quite well in his clothing. When it comes to formal gatherings amongst other high-classed vampires he is normally seen wearing his family garment which consists of a black jacket fastened and trimmed in gold with the Yodobashi family crest on both collar blades, he also wears dark carefully pressed dress trousers and black leather shoes. To complete the formal ensemble he wears a black cape with gold trimmings around the edges, the inside of the cape is made of a fine scarlet silky material. When it comes down to casual clothing, he is normally seen wearing a plain white collared shirt, dark dress trousers, and black leather shoes. His allure and charismatic appeal has given him the title "Ouji-sama (meaning prince)" amongst female Day Class Students.

Character Personality (how does your character thinks, reacts or acts):

Along with his ‘princely’ features comes a ‘princely’ personality which he shows to both humans and vampires, he is very chivalrous, this is shown by the way he speaks courteously to anyone who crosses his path, and if he is very affectionate of you or fascinated at the least, he may even recommend he’d accompany or usher you places, he is a very passionate and flirtatious individual. He also has an immense deal of admiration for his seniors which he shows by the way he speaks respectfully and is constantly bowing his head and/or kneeling before that individual. He has great knowledge of vampire family lines and politics which he isn’t afraid of showing every once in a while. Along with his charming personality he also has excellent qualities which make him tolerable to keep around. Qualities such as being a great listener; if you’re having a dilemma he is always there you hear you out and even give out some helpful guidance.

All of this seems so good to be true, is it? No it isn’t, because underneath his pleasant allure and personality lies a true baddie, making him a true master of manipulation. Being a Noble Class Vampire with a very high status, like most nobles he strongly believes that vampires are innately superior to humans and therefore are entitled to dominate them; he isn’t very hostile towards ordinary humans (day class students) however, he has a strong detestation for those who hound his kind and therefore he shows an immense deal of retaliation whenever he encounters a Hunter. But alas, he mustn’t do anything rash or else he’ll risk getting kicked so he works in the darkness doing little by little to attain his goals alongside others who share the same viewpoint as him.

Character Background (your character history before s\he joined the Academy):

The Yodobashi Family stands proudly in the midst of other Noble Families; for centuries behind the majority of Pure Blooded vampires to walk the earth there would be a Yodobashi, his family has made it their duty to serve and protect these vampires since its existence. The family draws its reputation from the amount of loyalty and servitude; for a Yodobashi would gladly lay their life down for the master or mistress they serve for they consider their bodies as mere instruments which make them convenient to have by your side. The life-expectancy of a Yodobashi family member is considerably short; normally they meet their end when defending their masters from a powerful opponent. But that is the thing which makes them both respected and feared among vampires, no matter who the opponent is, a Yodobashi never backs down from an opponent who threatens their master/mistress nor do they show any fear in confronting a foe who is obviously of greater power.

He was born into the Yodobashi family with the destined future of one day becoming the head of the house, to lead the Yodobashi family and the countless branch families which serve under them. Normally the heir to the family would not have to resort to servitude but with the untimely passing of his grandfather and his heir (Hideki’s father), the young noble has no choice but to take the position as head of the family. Though, there are some in the family who question his right to lead due; his age being a disadvantage along with his lack of experience. It’s only natural for someone to feel this way but being the Head of the Yodobashi Family meant that you would need to have influence amongst all in the family, and if the people you lead question your ability to lead that is a major setback. So in order to prove his worth he is forced into having to seek out a Pure Blood, to serve and protect that individual as many of his ancestors have done in the past. It is a very risky situation but if it meant winning the loyalty of his family members he has no choice but to do this.

He excels in fighting with the Katana and varies forms of martial arts, however what he lacks greatly in is his abilities which are just starting to blossom, so he has no full understanding on how to control his abilities which forces him to not use it fully until he does. So where would one serve if they wanted to avoid a full out conflict and risk getting killed, why, Cross Academy of course. He joins the academy (falsely) agreeing with the ideals of both Kaname and the Headmaster about pacifism. However his goals and agenda are quite simple, somewhere in Cross Academy there is a Pure Blood who detest the idea of humans and vampires co-existing and it is that Pure Blood he personally seeks out to serve, and hopefully one day if he doesn’t end up getting killed serving this individual; he’ll rightfully take the seat as Head of the Yodobashi family.

What are your character's special skills and unusual abilities (if you're human) or your powers (if you're vampire)? Please keep this at least somewhat faithful to VK canon, don't start making up powers that would completely make no sense in the series.

Noble Blood Line Abilities:

~ Faster regeneration rate then Ordinary Vampires.
~ Better Enhanced Reflexes, Speed and Strength then Ordinary Vampires.
~ Ability to put anyone to sleep with a slight touch of the forehead (memory wipe).
~ Seeing easily in the darkness.
~ Expand Color Spectrum.
~ Sensitive hearing.
~ Expand sense of smell, especially the smell of blood.
~ Ability to jump high into the air and glide short distances in high velocity.

Yodobashi Family Adapted Abilities:

~ Shadow Manipulation: The ability to convert darkness and shadow into solid matter, which can then be manipulated telekinetically. He can use this ability to either create a restraint on his opponent using their own shadow or he can mask himself along with his surrounding in darkness and attack his enemies while they are blinded.

~ Extremely knowledgeable when it comes to politics, other vampire family lines, and history.

~ Studies varies forms of martial arts.

~ Mastered several attacks of the Hiten Mitsurugi Style. It is a Katana fighting style originally founded to protect the people from national fear and tyranny, however the Yodobashi Family picked up the fighting style and adapted it to keeping the people in national fear and tyranny. He studies the many forms of this style and uses them to protect his master/mistress.

How does your character feel about her\his vampiric state (if you're vampire) or How would your character react if s/he was turned into a vampire (if you're human)?

Hideki was born into a Noble Family and is destined to become the heir; he enjoys being a vampire very much.

Character Family and Friends:

(Grandfather) Yodobashi Hagime – Deceased, was struck by a rare and fetal virus which slowly drained what little remaining life force he possessed. Was Head of the Yodobashi Household and grandfather to Hideki, after his death his son and Hideki’s father was to take the seat as Head.

(Grandmother) Yodobashi Mao – A very strong individual; it was her decision with the death of her husband and son to make her grandson the next head rather then Ito. Currently as Hideki attends Cross Academy she takes care of the household as the Acting-Head of the Yodobashi Family. She also takes care of Hideki’s mother.

(Father) Yodobashi Saito – Deceased, the cause of his death was unknown, but it was apparent that he would become Head of the Yodobashi Household over his half-brother following the death of his father, but before he was able to take the title he met his end.

(Mother) Yodobashi Ayako – Following the ‘death’ of her husband she now roams the household in a depressive state, refusing to eat nor drink. She also fears for the life of her son who is risking it by attempting to prove his worth, due to her current state unless she pulls herself together she is at a high risk of dying.

(Uncle) Yodobashi Ito – With both the death of his father along with his brother it was apparent he would be the next in line to become heir but however it was determined the son of Saito, Hideki, would be more fit to become the heir. Ito is the main person spouting about Hideki’s lack of experience and inability to lead the family.

(Servant) Jem - Yodobashi Family Butler and traveling companion.

Yagura No Tachi: A sword handed down for generations in the Yodobashi Family, how it ended up in their possession is unclear. However legends says, this sword was forged from the bone of a large oni that rampaged through a small town. Said to be so dark that no mere man could stand to hold its hilt. It burns the hand of anyone who ever tries to wield it leaving a permanent scar on the palm known as the 'Dark Touch'. The blade has a gleaming color of both lavender and burgundy. Unlike other katanas, it does not have the standard curved edge, but has several parts with saw-toothed edges.

In the Yodobashi household, through the front entrance, up the grand-staircase, up a couple flight of stairs, and through a large set of inexpressive doors lies a corridor, it’s walls painted a murky burgundy color, crimson fabric on the floors, partially-muted candles hung over the walls provided enough light to illuminate what corridor was intended for; aligned against walls are rows and columns of portraits bearing the images of past Yodobashi Family Leaders; the line up started off beside the doors and continues midway through the hall ending with a vacant frame. The doors to the hall creaked opened as two gentlemen entered the corridor, one resembled measly servant, the other; Yodobashi Hideki, stood out with his bulky collared cape which danced benevolently behind him as he made his way facing the first portrait, the butler followed.

”Yodobashi Mugen, the originator of the Yodobashi Clan, he established our traditions. Sadly he met his end protecting a pure blooded woman... Some say feelings of affection for her played a factor in his sacrifice, not the usual loyalty.” Hideki sucked his teeth, grinning at the photo of the gentleman before him. “What fool throws away his existence for something as petty as love?” He voice was both harsh and quite frankly filled with repugnance as he brushed off the very image of his predecessor, moving onto the next portrait; Jem shook his head in dismay before following. ”Yodobashi Kami, he adopted the Hiten Mitsurugi Style and made it the official Yodobashi Clan fighting style, he was said to be the strongest.” Hideki sucked his tooth once more grinning at the photo. “Another fool,” Hideki spat before making his way to the next one, which was the only portrait in which the person in it was holding an object,

“…Yagura No Tachi.”

The words delicately escaped his lips. ”Ah yes, Yodobashi Hien was the one who founded that accursed katana and brought it into the Yodobashi Household, from that point on, that katana was used as a heirloom for whomever became Head of the Yodobashi Household.” Jem looked over at his master awaiting another smart-alecky comment; a smirk ran along Hideki’s features in response to this as his gaze was still fixed on the photo. “…fool.” He spat as he continued down the hallway.

This continued until they reached the second portrait from the final vacant one, the photo depicted a ailing looking gentleman, aged hair, lengthy whiskers, his brow shagged over his eyes making them appear shut, Hideki gaped at it with a flicker in his eyes. ”Ah, the late Yodobashi Hagime-sama, don’t really know what to say about him, he was a dear friend of mine and I enjoy serving him as much as I----“ Jem was cut off by the sudden movement of Hideki who was now standing before the vacant frame which would soon bear the image of the recent Head. ”Ah, this spot was once reserved for your father, shame what happened to him though… Soon it’ll bear your image. Tell me, what kind of leader do you plan on becoming? Your actions will go down in the history books for your off-springs to read up on.” The statement caused a malevolent grin to run along Hideki features as he narrowed his eyes towards his butler, there was a wickedness coming from them as he spoke in his usual unyielding voice, “Why Jem, I plan to pave the way leading to a whole new outlook on the morals and customs of the Yodobashi Clan as well as the entire Vampire Race,” He grin hadn’t left his face as he continued to eye his butler who looked taken back by what Hideki has said, Hideki slowly began walking past Jem but stopped only a few meters behind, his back facing him as he continued, “To create a new world… my world.” And with that said he left the hallway. The surprised look on Jem’s face turned into a more satisfying one as he watched the door thump following his master’s hasty exit. ”Quite the ambitious one…” He said softly turning back to admire the vacant frame.

About the Player (tell us about yourself):

I've been roleplaying for as long as I can remember but this is my first time roleplaying Vampire Knight, since the last Role Playing Community I've been too didn't go quite well I went on to find a new place where I can continue role playing. This place seemed interesting so I decided to join, hope to make a lot of new friends. As for personal details about myself if you are ever interested in getting to know me. I'm a big fan of Anime and read a bit of manga from time to time. My hobbies are role playing, video games, and hanging out with friends, I also love chatting on IM. I have MSN and AIM so if you ever want to chat on either one just let me know. On a side note Tennis is my life, I am currently the top player at my high school aiming to be the top in the state after this season, I hope to play for a university and make it into a professional career.

How long have you been a fan of this series?

I've known about this series for quite some time now, I had a couple of episodes laying around my computer but never got to watching them, but when I finally did I was hooked and thought this anime would make a wicked RP, I'm glad to see there are people out there who shared that same idea. Currently as I write this description I am only up to Episode 11 in the Anime, haven't read the manga yet so I am quite new to this. So if I do anything wrong please do not be afriad to correct me.
